The NRL All Stars concept makes its long-awaited and highly anticipated return in 2019, with the Indigenous All Stars set to face the New Zealand Maori. The match is set to be played at Melbourne’s AAMI Park.
The match is scheduled to get underway on Friday, February 15 at 8pm (AEDT).
The NRL All Stars concept has been used previously, however, struggled to catch on with the Indigenous side regularly coming up against a side with nothing to play for, whether that be a team named after the NRL, or, in the last edition, the world in 2017.
This has something to play for on both sides of the park though, so the anticipated and expectation is that, even at this point of the pre-season, it’ll be a high-quality, ferocious game.
