After a long break between matches, England and Australia will head to Manchester for the fourth, and penultimate Test of the 2019 Ashes Series. It’s scheduled to get underway at 8pm (AEST) on Wednesday, September 4.
The famous Manchester ground, Old Trafford, will host the match, which will undoubtedly go along way towards deciding the series between the two sides.
Should the match last all five days, it will run from Wednesday, September 4 until Sunday, September 8 with play scheduled to wrap up at around 3am (AEST) each day, pending over rates and weather conditions.
After a stunning victory led by Ben Stokes in Leeds, England have tied the Ashes one-all, but can’t afford Australia to win either Test – here in Manchester or at The Oval in London in the fifth Test – if they want to regain the urn they lost on Australian soil a couple of years ago.
