After 25 rounds of action, the NRL finals series will finally get underway with what is one of the games greatest rivalries, with the Sydney Roosters set to take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs. This is The Roar’s guide to live streaming the match online, or watching it on TV.

The match is scheduled to begin at 7:50pm (AEST) on Friday, September 13, with it to be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The Roosters booked their home final by claiming a top-two finish some weeks ago, however, they couldn’t catch the Melbourne Storm and so missed out on the minor premiership.

Things were much less simple for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, who had to struggle their way into the top four for the second chance and a shot at a week off, should they win here.

These two sides played last weekend, with the Rabbitohs emerging victorious from that game.

The winner of this game gets a week off and direct passage to the preliminary finals, while the loser will have to play the winner of the Manly Sea Eagles and Cronulla Sharks in next week’s semi-final.

How to watch the match on TV

In Australia, there will be two ways to tune into the match on TV, with both of the NRL’s broadcasters having rights during the first three weeks of the finals series.
