Trans-Tasman rivals the Kangaroos and Kiwis will resume hostilities when they play a one-off Test match in Wollongong to kickstart a busy couple of weeks for international rugby league.

The match, which will be held at WIN Stadium, is set to be played on Friday, October 25, with kick-off scheduled for 8:10pm (AEDT). This will be the third match of the day at the venue, following earlier games between the Junior Kangaroos and France; and the Jillaroos and Kiwi Ferns.

The match between the Kangaroos and Kiwis forms part of the newly created Oceania Cup, of which they are in the top-ranked pool alongside Tonga, who Australia play next week.

New Zealand have already played Tonga back in the middle of the year, coming away with a victory, and so can secure the inaugural trophy with a result here, while they will also use this as preparation for an upcoming two-Test series with the Great Britain Lions, who are touring.
