New Zealand and Wales will attempt to put their collective frustrations aside when they face off in the third-place play-off at the Rugby World Cup. This is The Roar’s guide to live streaming the match online, or watching it on TV in Australia.

The match, which will be played in Tokyo, Japan, is scheduled to get underway at 8pm (AEDT) on Friday, November 1.

The All Blacks, who were tournament favourites before it all got underway, had their pants pulled down in last week’s semi-final by England, and now at their lowest ranking in years, will have to settle for a chance at the effective bronze medal in this contest against the Welsh.

While the New Zealanders will be somewhat frustrated with the end result of their overall campaign, no matter the end result of this match, Wales won’t be overly disappointed with securing an, at worst, top-four finish.

This third-place play-off also shapes as the farewell game for the two coaches, Warren Gatland for Wales and Steve Hansen for New Zealand, with both moving on from national team coaching duties at the end of the Cup.

How to watch the match on TV

The third-place play-off at the World Cup will be available to watch on both Fox Sports and Channel Ten in Australia, with both broadcasters of the Rugby World Cup holding the rights to the match.

Channel Ten are the free to air channel and will show the match on their main channel with a 30-minute build-up.

Fox Sports, on the other hand, will provide ad-break free coverage during live play and begin their broadcast at 7pm (AEDT) on Channel 503.

To watch the match on Fox Sports, you will need to ensure you have a valid Foxtel TV subscription, which is complete with the sports package of channels.

How to live stream the match online
