One of the biggest NRL stars is embroiled in something of a contract saga, with Sydney Roosters superstar centre Latrell Mitchell at an impasse with his club.
The Roosters made headlines on Tuesday after publically withdrawing their two-year deal worth $1.6 million, acknowledging that Mitchell is keen to explore his options once his current contract expires at the end of the 2020 season.
Rumours have swirled that the 22-year-old is asking for more coin, which has allegedly seen the Bulldogs call off their pursuit of the two-time premiership winner.
Parramatta were, at one point, rumoured to have been considering launching an absurd 11-year deal worth $10 million, while Wests Tigers have recently emerged as a suitor with reports claiming they’re keen to offer him $3.3 million over three years.
But how much is too much for an Origin centre? Does Latrell need to change his game if he wants bigger bucks?
We were joined on the Game of Codes podcast by Roar rugby league expert Tim Gore to make a call on what Latrell’s true worth is, before predicting where he’ll line up in 2021.
