The UFC Welterweight Championship is on the line as current champion Kamaru Usman faces off against former interim champion Colby Covington, but there’s a huge fight involving Aussie Alexander Volkanovski just before it. Check out The Roar’s handy guide to getting on a UFC 245 live stream, or watching the event on TV.

The headline act sees ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ Usman (15-1-0) face off against Covington (15-1-0), who has become something of a villain in the UFC circles for his controversial outspoken nature and his passionate, arguably obnoxious, support of Donald Trump.

For Aussie UFC fans however, the focus will be on the penultimate fight featuring Australia’s own Alexander Volkanovski, as he looks to win the UFC Featherweight Championship off Max Holloway.

The main card is scheduled to begin at 2pm (AEDT) on Sunday, December 15. The main event is the third and final fight on the list.

How to watch UFC 245 on TV

Your only option to catch this fight on TV is Foxtel’s pay-per-view service, Main Event. Their coverage includes the entire main card – including Volkanovski’s fight – and begins at 2pm (AEDT). If you purchase the fight, which costs $54.95, you’ll also have access to replays at 8pm on Sunday, 2am on Monday morning and 11pm on Monday night.

To access Main Event, you need valid Foxtel subscription. Again, the fight costs $54.95 in addition to your normal Foxtel subscription costs.

If you’re after pre-fight coverage, you can get it through ESPN2 (Foxtel channel 510). UFC 245 Countdown begins on UFC2 at 9:30am (AEDT), followed by UFC Fight Camp at 10:30am, UFC Fight Night Pre-Show at 11am and coverage of the preliminary fights at 12pm. ESPN2 does not have coverage of the main card, however.
