Reigning middleweight champion Israel Adesanya faces the first challenge to his crown when he takes on Yoel Romero to headline UFC 248 in Las Vegas.

This is The Roar’s guide to watching every fight on TV, or getting on a UFC 245 live stream.

Adesanya is 18-0 in his UFC career, and while he’s the heavy favourite to make that nineteen without defeat in Las Vegas, 42-year old Romero is aiming to prove age is just a number.

The Cuban veteran is aiming to become the oldest first-time UFC champion in history, and the second-oldest ever behind Randy Couture.

The main card is expected to begin at 2pm (AEDT) on Sunday, March 8. The main event will be the sixth and final fight of the card.

How to watch UFC 248 on TV

As with every UFC day, your only option to watch the main card is Foxtel’s pay-per-view service, Main Event. Their coverage begins at 2pm (AEDT), and features all six fights of the main card. Buying the card will set you back $54.95, but will also give you access to the fight replays, which will run at 8pm on Sunday, 2am on Monday morning and 11pm on Monday night.

To get Main Event, you’ll first need valid Foxtel subscription. The fight will cost $54.95 in addition to your normal Foxtel subscription costs.

Before that, you can check out all pre-fight coverage and all the preliminary fights on ESPN2 (Foxtel channel 510). The early prelims start at 10:30am (AEDT), while the preliminary card is set to commence at 12pm. ESPN2 does NOT have coverage of the main card – that’s exclusive to Main Event.

How to live stream UFC 248 online

If streaming’s more your go, you’ll need a UFC FightPass to watch the UFC 248 main card. FightPass is charging $54.95 for the Adesanya-Romero fight, the same as Main Event. However, you can also choose to purchase a monthly subscription for $10.99 that gives you access to all live UFC events.

To watch ESPN2’s pre-fight coverage and all the preliminary bouts, Kayo Sports might be your best option. Kay is a streaming service that gives you access to Foxtel sporting content on desktops, tablets and phones for as little as $25 a month.

Can’t get to a TV but already have a Foxtel subscription? ESPN2’s content can be found via the Foxtel GO app or website.

Main Event is one of the few Foxtel services NOT available via any of their affiliated streaming services.

Can’t get to a screen? The Roar will, of course, have your back with highlights and talking points throughout the day.
