It’s one of the biggest Australian boxing bouts in recent memory, and now Jeff Horn versus Tim Tszyu will finally take place.
After initially being delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fight will now take place in front of a socially-distant crowd on Wednesday, August 26 at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville.
As is always the case with major fights, there’s something of a schedule for Wednesday’s bout. The first of the undercard contests will get underway at 5:45pm (AEST), while the five main fights are set to start at 7pm.
Jeff Horn and Tim Tszyu are scheduled to begin their super welterweight clash at 9:30pm (AEST), although the precise start time will naturally depend on how long the other fights on the card run. The main event is due to finish at around 10:30pm.
Horn versus Tszyu is a pay-per-view event, although the preliminaries from 6-7pm will be available to watch on Fox Sports 503.
To watch everything from 7pm onwards, including the headline fight, there are two options. The first is via Kayo Sports. This is the first time a pay-per-view fight is being shown on the platform, and regardless of whether you’re an existing subscriber or not, you’ll be able to watch the event on Kayo from 7pm once you’ve ordered it. The pay-per-view cost is $59.95.
Alternatively, you can watch the fight on Foxtel’s Main Event channel. Again, you’ll need to order it in advance, and the $59.95 cost remains the same.
