How to live stream Origin 2 online

Channel Nine hold exclusive rights to broadcasting State of Origin live, so your only option for streaming Game 2 on your preferred device is with 9Now. That’s Channel Nine’s official streaming service for all their television content.

9Now is fortunately free to access, though you will have to create a free 9Now account to use it. Once you do that, you can either use the 9Now app, available on most current mobile or other devices, or browse through the website. Just find the “State of Origin” stream and click play.

You’ll also be able to access an on-demand replay in the hours after the match, so if you missed a big moment, you should be able to find it.

9Now is only an option if you’re in Australia, however. If you’re overseas and keen to follow the action, you’ll need to use the NRL’s official overseas streaming service, WatchNRL.

Unlike 9Now, WatchNRL will charge you for a subscription, so take a thorough look through their package options before committing to a purchase. If your just after Game 2, the shortest service may be your best best.

Nine’s exclusive rights mean Kayo Sports will not be streaming Origin live. However, Kayo subscribers can still watch on-demand replays with Fox League’s own coverage of the night from virtually as soon as the match ends.

How to watch Origin 2 on TV

Like with streaming options, the Nine Network is your one and only option for watching the big game on TV. As it’s free to air, though, essentially all you need do is find a working television to be set for Sunday night.

Nine’s pre-match coverage begins at 7pm (AEST), and will be broadcast on the main Nine channel no matter where in the country you’re watching from. As always, however, we recommend you check your local guides for confirmation just in case.

Like with Kayo, Fox League does not have the rights to broadcast State of Origin live. You will not be able to watch Game 2 live on Fox League. However, they will have plenty of replays scheduled once the game ends, with the first scheduled for 10:45pm (AEST) – or just minutes after the full-time whistle.

If you’re out of luck and won’t be able to watch the must-win game, never fear: The Roar has you covered for all the State of Origin content you could ask for, with plenty of pre-game coverage, a comprehensive live blog with regular score updates, expert analysis, video highlights of all the big moments and plenty of fan reaction and fallout as it wraps up.
