The Canberra Raiders could well be without winger Jordan Rapana for the start of the NRL season, after the fiery 32-year old was reported twice and sent to the sin-bin in a wild opening half of the All Stars game.

Representing the Maori side, Rapana was first placed on report after a crude late hit on Indigenous star David Fifita, moments after he’d set Jesse Ramien up for the first try of the night.

While that hit sparked only a minor flare-up, things would explode during the second quarter, after another Rapana shoulder charge on Ramien saw sparks fly in earnest.

Having played a central role in the fracas, Fifita’s cousin Andrew would be sent to the sin-bin.

The Sharks veteran had some choice words for Rapana as he marched off, mouthing ‘I’ll get you’ at the Raider… who embraced his villain status for the night by cheekily waving Fifita off.

However, the act would quickly backfire, Rapana also yellow-carded for the shot that started it all.

Reaction from fans was swift and brutal on Rapana, who was described as ‘the dumbest man on earth’ after the twin incidents.

While Rapana would return to the field, his night would somehow get even more embarrassing, scoring an early falcon of the year contender to delight the commentators and karma-lovers worldwide.

Speaking at half time, Andrew Fifita wasn’t backing down either, telling Nine: “No regrets. I don’t care what anyone says.

“He should have been sent, to be honest. He’s sent one of our players already off the field, and he went to do it a second time.

“It is what it is, I just saw Joshie [captain Josh Addo-Carr] going in [during the melee] and I had to follow suit. I’m not gonna leave a brother behind.”
