On the night of February 7th, 2023, the kid from Akron, Ohio, LeBron Raymone James Sr. just broke the NBA all-time scoring record of 38,387 points set by the six-time NBA MVP and the Los Angeles Lakers legend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

It was done with 10.9 seconds left of the third quarter against the Oklahoma City Thunder and in front of thousands of crowds including several celebrities and the man himself, Mr. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Unfortunately, LeBron’s team didn’t get the win.

Now that LeBron has the all-time scoring record, is the GOAT – Greatest Of All Time – debate over? With a total of 4 NBA Championships, 4 NBA Finals MVP, 4 NBA season MVP and 19 All-Star appearances, averaging 30.2 PPG, 8.5 rebounds per game and 7.0 assist per game, while in his 20th season in the NBA, his longevity shows that LeBron is a professional athlete that people have never seen before in the world of sports.

At the age of 38, what more can he do? Every NBA player’s goal is to win a chip and nothing is more important than that aside from staying healthy throughout the season.

After the Kyrie trade that didn’t go in what LeBron’s would have wanted, LeBron said that he already moved on and shifted his focus with his current squad to win a championship. For this to become more possible, they all need to be healthy and available to play.

LeBron’s legacy on and off the court continues to grow as time goes by. His credentials are widely known. He might not have the best resume out there when it comes to being the greatest of all time, but he has done so much in his basketball career that makes him one of the best to ever do it.

Not everyone would agree with the GOAT discussion because it’s always a subjective matter. But what if LeBron wins one or two more championships? I’d say it’s going to be non-negotiable.

Outside the basketball court, LeBron is a businessman and a philanthropist, who has donated millions of dollars to different charities around the globe.

Starting with the LeBron James Family Foundation, with the goal of empowering kids by creating their own ways to success, through a focus on education and co-curricular activities.

He has this sense of gratitude with his success and manifesting it through other people by helping them build their path to become the best version of themselves.

Moreover, this generation should be grateful and appreciate their greatness while they’re still in the NBA. These types of NBA players like, LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant changed the game and became an inspiration for a lot of people to continue striving for success and working hard.

The Los Angeles Lakers are currently standing at the 7th seed in the Western conference with a 41-38 record, with three games remaining for the season.

They will be battling it out against the Clippers tomorrow and the Suns on April 8 and it’ll be an interesting matchup between LeBron and KD (last time they played each other was on Christmas day in 2018). The Lakers will end their season with another matchup against the Jazz on April 10.
