Manly talisman Jake Trbojevic is a chance for the final Origin game after Manly coach Anthony Seibold revealed that he will likely return for the Sea Eagles’ crunch clash with the Roosters next Sunday afternoon.

Brother Ben Trbojevic is also like to return, as are Jason Saab and Brad Parker, both of whom missed Saturday night’s defeat to Melbourne. Kelma Tuilagi will play for Blacktown in NSW Cup this weekend to prove his fitness.

Jurbo has been nursing a calf injury that has kept him out for over a month, including missing both Origin games so far, but is back in full training as of this week and will be considered for next week, with Manly’s finals hopes on the line.

“Yeah he’s looking really good,” said captain Daly Cherry-Evans.

“He’s taking his time with this one. Last time he came back a little too soon, understandable considering he wants to play Origin and how much Origin means to Jake, it looks like he should be back next week.”

Souths superstar Latrell Mitchell may be out for another month after coach Jason Demetriou revealed that he will miss the third and final game of State of Origin with a calf issue.

The fullback pulled up in Blues training for Game 1 and went into camp for Game 2, before being ruled out again. His coach told media on Saturday morning that he may not be out for a further month, which would take Mitchell out of contention for the final Origin game, with a Round 21 return scheduled.

Dolphins halfback Sean O’Sullivan is set for his first game since round four as coach Wayne Bennett shuffles his line-up ahead of Saturday’s NRL clash with Parramatta.

O’Sullivan returns from a ruptured pectoral suffered against Brisbane three months and will partner Kodi Nikorima in the halves, with young gun Isaiya Katoa moving to the bench.

But hooker Jeremy Marshall-King won’t play against the Eels because of a shoulder niggle, leaving youngster Harrison Graham set to make his debut.

Tom Trbojevic is done for the year after Manly confirmed that scans revealed that he has torn his pectoral muscle. He met a specialist on Friday who said he would need to undergo surgery.

All other Origin representatives look like they’ll back up for club duty.

Newcastle coach Adam O’Brien confirmed second-rower Tyson Frizell will back-up after NSW State of Origin duty for Saturday’s trip to Penrith, joining power winger Greg Marzhew and prop Daniel Saifiti in a huge trio of inclusions from the side that faced the Roosters.

Ben Hunt has confirmed he will lead out St George Illawarra in Friday night’s home game against the Warriors even though his Dragons future is far from resolved.

The defiant Dragons named Hunt despite their star playmaker requesting an immediate release from the final two-and-a-half years of his lucrative contract.

After representing Queensland ahead in Wednesday night’s State of Origin II, it will be interesting to see what sort of reception Hunt receives from the Wollongong faithful.

Souths have copped mixed news with star fullback Latrell Mitchell again ruled out due to the calf injury which has kept him out of both Origin matches.

However, Cody Walker has been cleared to return from his thigh strain while props Tom Burgess (back) and Davvy Moale (knee) will make comebacks after lengthy stints on the sidelines.

The Roosters have reportedly told prop Matt Lodge that he is free to leave immediately and Manly are the frontrunners for his signature. He was not named in their squad to face Canberra on Sunday.

They have switched Joey Manu back to the centres after Luke Keary was cleared of a serious jaw injury with the veteran named in the halves with rookie Sandon Smith.

Second-rower Sitili Tupouniua, who badly corked his thigh against the Knights, is doubtful but they at least get Victor Radley back from his three-game striking ban.

Meanwhile, Brisbane winger Selwyn Cobbo has recovered from the hip injury that ruled him out of Origin II and will line up in Sunday’s derby clash against Gold Coast, who have five-eighth Kieran Foran back from a toe complaint.

But the Broncos have lost second-rower Kurt Capewell to a quad injury that will sideline him until round 20.

Eels star Shaun Lane could make an early return from a hamstring injury after he was named on the bench while North Queensland have confirmed talented second-rower Heilum Luki will miss “multiple weeks” with the facial fracture he suffered in Friday’s defeat of Penrith.

The fracture is the latest setback for Luki, who went down with an ACL injury last year, only to spend more time sidelined with a hamstring strain suffered three weeks after returning to the field.

There were no charges at all from the match review committee from the five Round 16 matches.

Teams with three Origin reps can name an additional player in their NRL squad, if they have more on midweek duty, they can name two more reserves.
