The Wallabies’ 2022 loss to the Pumas in Argentina coincided with some of the lowest DIY player ratings we’ve ever seen here at The Roar – and while this year’s loss hasn’t seen quite as many dismal scores, you’ve certainly all made your feelings known about the team’s start to The Rugby Championship.

Just three players averaged scored of higher than 6 among our voters, while there were nine ‘fail’ averages of below than 5, including Dave Porecki, Jed Holloway and five of the eight Wallabies coming off the bench.

Of the positives, Mark Nawaqanitawase’s game was the clear standout, the young gun’s average of 7.62 far and away the best of anyone in gold on the night – and following his best-afield performance in last year’s Spring Tour win over Wales, it’s his second Test in a row topping the charts.

At the other end, it was a nightmare evening for Tom Wright, the fullback’s error-riddled performance resulting in a team-worst average of just 3.19.

Nearly 22 per cent of you rated Wright’s game a one, narrowly below the near-quarter of you that gave him a 3; at the very least, that puts him ahead of Suliasi Vunivalu from the loss to the Springboks, who set a new Roar record with 47.8 per cent of ‘1’ votes and an average of just 2.02. So there’s that at least.

Check out the full breakdown below.
