The 2023 AFL grand final between the Collingwood Magpies and Brisbane Lions featured the top two teams in the home-and-away season for the first time since 2014, and is a fitting conclusion to a memorable season.

We’ve got all the information you need to watch the match on TV or live stream from your device, so you don’t miss any of the action from the MCG.

After two consecutive seasons out of Melbourne due to the COVID-19 event, the biggest match on the footy calendar returns to its traditional home of the MCG – and its traditional Saturday afternoon timeslot.

Here’s everything you need to follow the game via live stream, TV, or to listen on radio before the first bounce at 2:30pm (AEST) this afternoon.

How to live stream the AFL grand final online
Channel Seven’s streaming service, 7plus, is your main option to live stream the 2022 AFL grand final – and unlike previous years, it will be available via a web browse ron your computer.

If you have an iOS device (iPhone or iPad), Telstra TV, Samsung Tizen (2016 version or later), Fetch TV, Apple TV, Playstation 4 or 5, Android TV, Google TV, Chromecast or LG TV, then you’ll also be able to watch the game provided you’ve downloaded the 7plus app and set up a free account.

The usual Foxtel Go and Kayo streaming services will not be showing the grand final live, but they will both be showing replays in the hours following the final siren.

Kayo subscribers will be able to watch replays of the big game on demand from 6pm (AEST), and then continuously through the night and Sunday morning.

If you’re overseas and want to watch the game, Watch AFL is your best best. A grand final pass is available for $40 AUD, which gives you access to watch the game for a month (30 days) after signing up; while they also have season and finals options if you want to lock in all the action for the 2022 season as well.

How to watch the AFL grand final on TV
For the twelfth year running, Channel 7 is your only option to watch the grand final live on TV.

Their coverage of the big day will begin at 9am (AEST) and run through the match until 6pm (AEST).

It will include their pre-match big day preview, all the entertainment at the MCG, the game itself and the presentation ceremonies afterwards.

As it is with your streaming options, Fox Footy will not be showing the grand final live on their channel. However, they will be providing their own wall-to-wall pre-match coverage of the big game starting with a longest-kick competition at 11am (AEST). They will also be showing replays from 6pm (AEST), assuming the match has ended.

How to listen to the AFL grand final on radio
Unable to get to a TV, or just prefer to listen to the big game on radio? You’ve got four stations to choose from: 3AW, ABC Grandstand, Triple M and SEN will all be broadcasting the grand final live, including pre- and post-game coverage.

Be sure to check out your local frequencies to tune into one of these stations. All stations are also available and free via their respective websites and apps.
