The Brisbane Lions will likely be without defender Dee Heslop and young gun Charlotte Mullins for their AFLW qualifying final clash with Adelaide.
Heslop has been ordered to head straight to the tribunal and faces a potential three-game ban for a rough conduct offence on Melbourne’s Rhi Watt during the Lions’ 25-point win on Saturday night.
The incident was graded as careless, severe impact and high conduct after Watt was concussed in a tackle during the first quarter.
Mullins, who was influential in the first quarter and was last week nominated for the AFLW Rising Star award, has been offered a one-match ban for striking Melbourne’s Shelley Heath during the opening term.
The Lions pair aren’t the only players staring at the possibility of missing a final, with Geelong’s Kate Darby offered a one-match ban for rough conduct on Hawthorn young gun Jasmie Fleming.
Brisbane will travel to Adelaide to renew their long-standing rivalry with the Crows, who claimed the minor premiership, on Saturday.
The Cats will host Essendon in an elimination final at GMHBA Stadium on Sunday.
