As a pre-warning, this list is in no particular order.
The famous comeback win against Barcelona in 2019. Liverpool overcame a 3-0 deficit at Camp Nou to win 4-0 in the return leg at Anfield. A team with the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Philippe Coutinho to name a few. Liverpool, on the other hand, were without star players Mohammed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
The injury-ridden Reds team took the field by storm, pressing and charging at the world-famous Barcelona players all over the pitch. Jurgen Klopp deserves praise for this result, he is a world-class motivator who gets the best out of his players.
Liverpool 7 – Manchester United 0. What a match of football that was, for everyone but Manchester United fans. A historic 7-0 win against your biggest rivals has to be on this list. Liverpool put United to the sword, particularly in the second half where they scored six goals. The Reds showed no mercy to a deflated United team and the supporters loved it. It is a game that will be talked about for years and years to come, and hopefully for some, forgotten.
Winning Liverpool’s sixth top-flight European trophy. This was a Champions League campaign that included the 4-0 win over Barcelona in the semi-final to make the final. It was a memorable year as a Liverpool supporter, Liverpool missed out on the Premier League by one point, just bested by Manchester City.
The Champions League trophy, the pinnacle of European football, was the first silverware Liverpool won under Klopp. It was a monumental moment for Liverpool fans around the world and we all have Klopp to thank for that.
Keeping pace with Manchester City for the last six to seven years has been a joy to watch. The battle between these two clubs at the top of the Premier League, as well as knockout matches in the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup, have been spectacular. This season we might see another one of these battles, Liverpool currently sits top of the division with Pep Guardiola’s side not far behind them.
Manchester City has won five of the last six Premier League titles, only Liverpool in 2019-20 has broken this streak, we will get onto that one win later. In two of these Premier League titles, City have beaten Liverpool by one point, including the 2021-22 season in which Liverpool won both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, made it to the UCL final and finished one point behind Manchester City in the league.
Liverpool fans couldn’t have asked for anything more from Klopp; keeping pace with one of the richest clubs in the world is an outstanding achievement.

In the 2019-20 season something significant happened: Liverpool won. Before this season the Reds had not lifted a league trophy for 30 years. Winning the league was something Liverpool fans were desperate for.
Despite it being a COVID-affected season and the games for the most part played behind closed doors, Liverpool fans globally were overcome with emotion. On top of this, it was a dominant victory. Liverpool won the league by 18 points and finished on 99 points. Jurgen Klopp achieved immortality in Liverpool’s history as one of our greatest-ever managers who returned the Premier League title to Liverpool after 30 long years.
You will be missed, Jurgen. Thank you for the memories.
