Scuffle breaks out between two tennis players following handshake

Who’d have thought a handshake could cause this much drama?

Katherine Sebov (20) claimed a straight-sets win over 18-year-old Alycia Parks (6-0, 7-6) in the ITF W60 Las Vegas round of 16.

However, tensions between the pair boiled over at the net, after Sebov was accused of “squeezing” her opponent’s hand, leading to a scuffle.

The chair umpire had to stand between the players to simmer the situation down.

Fellow tennis player Sachia Vickery defended Parks’ actions, tweeting, “I was there she def squeezed her hand at the net. I hope they don’t try to spin this”.

Parks later tweeted about the incident.

The ITF is understood to be investigating the scuffle.
