The Sydney Olympic boardroom has been known throughout the years as one of the toughest in the game, with many characters of the past pushing for one main goal: national supremacy.
With the FFA attempting to destroy clubs like this, it’s come at no better time that the Sydney Olympic FC revolution is on par with the new A2-League, which is rumoured to be starting 2012 season.
This new board have done much for this historic and successful club in a short period, trying to bring Sydney Olympic FC back to the forefront of Australian football once again. With this comes the news that Mark Bosnich has retired from football and become a Director at Sydney Olympic.
From the club’s website: “It is with great pleasure that Sydney Olympic can announce that former Australian international star Mark Bosnich will be joining the board of the club.”
The former Aston Villa and Manchester United star said: “Due to my television commitments, I am unable to commit to the club in a playing capacity as I don’t think I would be doing myself, my team mates or the club justice. I am thrilled with the new position the club has offered me. It’s an honour to be welcomed as a director of this famous club.”
Olympic in the A-League? Maybe.
