Western Sydney and defender Daniel Mullen parted ways on Friday by mutual consent and with immediate effect.
Mullen made nine appearances for the Wanderers, including the Asian Champions League final win, after signing in February 2014 with the A-League outfit.
Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas thanked Mullen for his contribution over the past 12 months.
“Daniel was an important part of our victorious Champions League campaign and was a popular figure around the club.
“Unfortunately, first-team opportunities haven’t been as regular as Daniel had hoped for so we have granted a release to allow him to pursue more playing time.
“We will remember Daniel’s year with the club fondly and we wish him well for the rest of his career.”
New signing Sam Gallaway will join the A-League squad for the remainder of the season, wearing the No.25 jersey.
