WATCH: Fans try desperately to get Ange to catch a Sherrin, settle for Spurs player's NFL-style pass
Ahead of a friendly with Newcastle, Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham held an open training session at AAMI Park in front of fans.
Real Madrid midfielder Isco showed Australia, and hopefully anyone else that was watching, part of what he is able to do on and off the ball.
Madrid took on Italian giants AS Roma in a thrilling game at the MCG on Saturday night for the International Champions Cup.
The scores finished level but Roma took the two points up for grabs in an electrifying 7-6 penalty shoot out.
The first half seemed quite even, many will say Roma had the better chances.
The half-time interval saw Rafa Benitez make several changes to the Real Madrid squad including bringing on Spanish international Isco.
We then witnessed Toni Kroos and especially Isco dominate the midfield. Every time Isco received the ball he looked dangerous.
As he does so well, Isco continued to drive at the Roma defence creating more and more opportunities for his team. His quick feet stunned all of the Roma players on numerous occasions and it seemed he always knew when to pass the ball.
Isco’s off the ball movement was also outstanding.
It seems Isco has really trained hard this pre-season because in previous years we saw various situations where Isco was knocked off the ball due to his lack of height and body strength. On Saturday night I saw times where Isco had held off strong players like Seydou Keita by simply turning his back on him.
Isco showed brilliant knowledge of where to put his body in relation to the ball and the player trying to win it off him.
A few more years of hard work could see Isco become one of the world’s best
