Geelong captain Joel Selwood brings up his 350th AFL match as the Cats face the Western Bulldogs at their GMHBA Stadium fortress. Join The Roar for live scores and rolling coverage from 7:25pm (AEST).

Long-standing Cats captain Selwood will secure himself a place in the record books, as he becomes just the 21st player in the games history to reach the 350-game mark. He is also the highest-capped Geelong player in more than 100 years of VFL/AFL footy.

Geelong will welcome their All-Australian defender, Tom Stewart, back into the line-up, after he served a four-week suspension for a late and high hit on Richmond’s Dion Prestia.

The Cats will be looking to extend their current winning streak to nine and continue to remain at the top of the ladder.

Jeremy Cameron and Tom Hawkins are pressing for a spot on top of the Coleman Medal standings, sitting second and third respectively on that list. These two continue to impress this season as they cement themselves as the best forward line pairing in the league.

The Bulldogs have made a huge statement at the selection table for this clash, dropping key defender Alex Keath after a disappointing few weeks. They will however welcome back gun half-back Caleb Daniel; but will be without midfield superstar Adam Treloar, who has succumbed to a calf injury sustained in last week’s win over Melbourne.

Prediction

I am tipping the Cats to win this one by 24 points.
