Sunday’s slate of games begins in Queensland with the Gold Coast Suns taking on the GWS Giants at Metricon Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 3:35pm (AEST).

The Gold Coast Suns have fallen from the top eight, with some recently mediocre form blighting what was an impressive beginning to the season. They have now dropped three of their last five clashes to sit dubiously on the edge of finals contention. Their latest endeavour was a Thursday night game against the Bulldogs – losing their first-ever primetime weeknight clash.

The Giants have been similarly inconsistent of late. They dropped two games against premiership fancies Brisbane and Port before bouncing back with a decent win over Richmond. That latter win, last Friday night, was largely driven by Toby Greene’s superb form. The controversial forward booted five of the team’s nine goals, and they’ll hope his stunning play follows through into today’s clash.

Worryingly for the Suns is that GWS have won every game against the Queensland expansion club since 2015. Gold Coast have won all but one of their games at Metricon Stadium this season, though.

Fortunately for both teams, neither are particularly afflicted by injury at the moment.
