I was just gobsmacked by the forward pass call at the end of the first 1/2 to deny a try. I watched it 3 or 4 times an I’ve got no idea how it was called forward or at the very least not referred. I feel certain had it been referred it would not have been called forward.

So today you answer with an article supporting EJ and complimenting his vision for change? Not sure I see your point unless of course you’re just stirring up controversy.

Meh. Your statement that players lost confidence due to the media is pure speculation. The truth is EJ is not a good coach and had no plan B. His selections were diabolical and game plan pretty much non-existent. His recent coaching record with Australia and England is terrible.

You made crazy selections. You brought in a sub par yes men assistant coaching team.
You chose the strategy and game plan (assuming there was one).
Of course you are responsible you clown. If you worked for any organisation with standards you’d be immediately sacked. Your record is appalling. As is the record of the board and CEO of RA (including many years of senior management negligence). Sure there’ll be some scapegoats but will the structural change need ever take place? I doubt it.

Spot on. Jones took a giant long odds gamble with no risk to himself. To say the CEO and board of RA have egg on their face is one huge understatement.

Um yes it is the players fault. The coach, selections, game plan etc are also at fault but it is the players fault as well.

Was this one of the journos singing Eddie’s praises. I can’t stand EJ and I think RA is run by myopic box tickers but I reserve my true hatred for hypocrites.

I don’t really have respect for commentators who are calling out EJ’s madness now. Frankly I respect guys like Campo who called it out weeks ago.

No doubt EJ had a bold and decisive plan. It has been an abject failure so far. IMHO he has elevated players above their capacity at this stage.
No doubt EJ wants to win but his hubris has put the wallabies at risk of second tier status. His confidence in his own ability is misplaced. There just isn’t a plan B. That’s bad leadership.

I thought Luai was horrible. Bad kicks, slow thinking. Great club player hasn’t done well in origin this year. Frankly I find his tough guy attitude laughable.

Luai was awful. Cook played out of position was all at sea. NSW just useless. Peculiar 1st 1/2 try decisions. Not a very exciting game to watch. Be surprised if game 3 outrates Friends reruns.

Can’t agree here. Sure played for the AB’s but childhood (13 years) in Darwin, mum played for Australia, wants to do it. Ticks all the boxes for me. You can play for 2 countries and still be a great and loyal person.

There are only 2 vital questions that should be asked in relation to World Cup selection:
1. Is the player eligible?
2. Is the player in the top 2 of all the eligible players in his chosen position?
If the answer is yes to both then pick the guy. Everything else is white noise.

Worst game management I’ve seen in a GF. Up by 16. In the Panther’s 22 and you take a high risk play that lets the pressure off. Someone had to be the adult in the room. I guess the Broncs were sticking with what got them the lead but sheesh Reynolds should’ve taken charge and forced a repeat set.
Also one criticism, either league are serious about high shots, crusher tackles and HIA’s. In origin and finals, particularly GF’s they let a lot go. I understand why but really? Does anyone believe the player welfare claptrap anymore? The policies are just a future litigation shield and if you keep making exceptions the shield just won’t work.
