I believe Mccullum gave up the gloves because of lack of talent in our batting. If you bring in a guy who is wicketkeeper and a average bat and make Mccullum a specialist batsman this hides our lack of depth.
All teams need a strong leadership groups and these three players have held this team up for years, I think the main problem is that there has been no outstanding player come thou the system in years and even they are starting to lose hope.

Were lucky to have 3 to 5 players that are of International standard (if that) in the black caps and the rest just make up the numbers. And you want to blame our best players for the losses in the sub-continent, how about the fact that we played the number one team in the world and lost! and Bangladesh are not the easy beats they use to be how many people play cricket in Bangladesh compared to New Zealand it was always going to happen.

It Charges the host nation a fee to have the RWC (around 200 – 300 million I think) plus Tv rights. Out of this money some goes to each team that competes in the world cup and the rest is spent over the next four years developing the game around the world. Without the world cup where would this money come from?
To me the RWC is more about celebrating Rugby than who wins.

Would you expect a AFL supporter whose moved from Melbourne to Sydney to give up supporting say the Cats and start supporting the Swans? Or a NSW supporter who’s moved to the Gold coast to start supporting the Qlds?
So why should you feel obliged to support the Wannabes just cause you live in Australia. I love it here in oz and will probably never move back to NZ, but I will always support NZ when it comes to Sport.

boring? did you watch the last two test in S.A. Some of the best Rugby I’ve seen from non All Blacks test matches ever, one minute I was cheering the wannabes, next the Boks it was great. Two Classic tests. Now I think I’m more excited about this weekends test than when I went to the test Melbourne. Rugby wont die in Australia Because we Kiwis keep it going with the amount of us migrating here each year. Rugby had some lean years (in NZ as well)but that was more to do with the rules, once Rucking was taken out of the game it was always going to take awhile to adjust, but after this year I think Rugby’s on its way back. Also Channel Nine will have a Free to air highlights package from next so that’s better than nothing.

Yeh I’m One them haters, he should never got a look in. All Blacks are what they are because they are a Star team willing to put their bodies on the line for each other, Black Jersey and there country. they don’t need a guy just looking to increase his next pay cheque.

Sharky Pete, I’m not a shark hater and would love to have a 22 to club comp with an extra club in New Zealand, Adelaide and PNG with the sharks staying put, but its just not sustainable. Only saying the sharks should move because of what I see on TV or read in the press. As a supporter wouldn’t you want 6 games with a Full stadium or do you want to stick to 12 games a year 1/4 full with chance of the club going Broke?
So I’m not just picking on the Sharks maybe all sydney clubs should put In a Bid to remain Sydney and the worst one goes west? who do you think will go?

Willy your right Melbourne should Stand on its own two feet, So when they negotiate the next TV rights deal they should do two (we pretty good at doing two Contracts LOL) one without Melbourne and one with and any extra money goes straight to the VRL, this would guarantee the storm survival and give VRL war chest to compete with AFL

Mr black, Did you know more people in New Zealand play Soccer than Rugby? But Rugby is by far the Most Popular sport. So just because a sport is played by the Masses Does not make it the most popular. Also have you Attended a Soccer Match or Rugby Match in SA? If you had you would realize at a Rugby match the crowd is a mix of whites, Blacks, Coloured also Asians and Indians, A Soccer Match Is almost Completely Black except for a few Foreigners who sit away form the Black supports

You need to remember that most NZ teams reflect the Population of the area i.e. Auckland blues around 19 Islander Due to the higher Islander population, and the Southern teams less due to Smaller Islander population. So how can it be racist if Team is a true reflection of the area???
