Chiefs fan. Thought that young fellas tries were some of the best Ive seen in a while. What a weekend! What marvellous matches, even the comedy show in my town Dunedin.

Yes . Wasnt it refreshing? Showed what happens when you allow some rough house breakdown freedom. Both sides adjusted with gusto, possession was contested instead of endlessly penalised/carded and we got a game for the ages that people are still buzzing about. Kind of sad it wasnt a draw.

The two halves need to be picked with their 10s. So on the absence of Roigard, despute his passing shortcomings, it’s Perenara with Cameron and DMac with Ratima. BB only for the bench to play Argentina or Australia as backup FB to Stevenson.

Take Caleb Clarke, who’s not without experience in sevens rugby. The man’s one discernible trick is to run over people, which isn’t that tricky if they can tackle. For a guy who grew up playing centre, his passing also isn’t up to much.
Then there’s Rieko Ioane, who did go to Rio with Sonny Bill. Nothing wrong with his evasive skills but, again, here’s a bloke who can’t (or won’t) pass.

Isnt it ti.e to ditch the boring Thor nickname? Hes never kicked on to become a great prop because apart from Slipper theres noone in Aus thats better. I believe that had he stayed in NZ the more numerous and quality competition for AB status would have made him a better prop.

DMac emphatically wasnt the problem in Dunedin. It was Fozzies Shayne Philpott project, Finlay Christie whose service to his 10 was execrable. DMac lit the place up for the rest of the time he was on once Smith replaced the dud 9.
