Just cease utilising reviews as a tactic and implement them what they are there for, to overrule the obvious shocking decision. It ain’t rocket science.

David Warner's bizarre call to have umpire's stats shown on big screen to help players make DRS decisions

Denial, it ain’t just a river in Egypt.

Heat on McDonald to show he can get bumbling Aussies firing again after insipid World Cup performances

Spot on Rowdy, he just looks a liability lately when he has the ball in hand. That’s solely because the responsibility of the captaincy is messing with him.

While the rest of the world is progressive inasmuch they select youth and white ball specialists; Australia has devolved and returned to a late 70’s and early 80’s philosophy of basically selecting the Test side.
I commented at the start of the South African tour prior to this World Cup, how refreshing the Australian T20 side presented, with a heap of young faces and an unbridled enthusiasm. Apparently this counted for little, as they were quickly replaced by Dad’s Army when the 50 over games commenced, and so here we are.

Questionable DRS decisions are the least of our worries. The Australian outfit presents as old and incredibly stale across all formats. A thorough external review encompassing players, coaches and selectors needs to be conducted; It won’t be though, as the same old tired mediocrity pads up for another Summer in Australia, and papers over the glaring cracks by basking in the glow of probable victories over an unpredictable Pakistan and club level West Indies.

Twin DRS controversies leave Aussies fuming as latest collapse, fielding nightmare sum up huge loss to Proteas

Actually watched last nights game; It’s the first T20 I have watched since about 2019. I really enjoyed it (can’t believe I am saying it), haven’t seen BBL for a few seasons, as a result there were a lot of fresh faces in the side that I had read about but never seen play. The Australian team under Mitch Marsh seems pretty fresh and dynamic, I think from the Test side there was only him and Travis Head, however they all seemed to gel and most were quite impressive. Can’t say I will ever be an avid T20 fan, but perhaps will be more inclined to watch it more frequently than I have in the past.

Mitch craft: Marsh continues incredible start to T20 captaincy career as Aussies double down on Proteas

It actually is 142, however feels like 47.

SevenTEENth heaven: Warner Broad's bunny again as Smith, Marnus brain fades leave Ashes in Marsh's hands

Wow! I have posted some questionable comments on here in the past, particularly after a few. However none of it comes close to this rambling, sanctimonious fluff piece. I am unsure whether to just laugh out loud or be afraid.

COMMENT: Cummins failed the moral test and tarnished these Ashes. He had the chance to be a legend and blew it

Dunno Don, I am a Test cricket nut, but turned it off at about midnight last night and went to bed. They had a mid off and a deepish cover, while the rest were on the fence. Thought they may try it for ten or so overs, however after over two hours of it I was bored senseless. If a team has to resort to such tactics then there is a) something horribly wrong with the pitch or, b) something horribly wrong with the pitch.

UK View: England legend bakes 'farcical, dull' attack as crazy 'Bodyline' stat revealed, Lyon's 'utterly pointless' act

Honestly thought Stokes’ innovations were refreshing and interesting; this so called ‘Bazball’ has reinvigorated English Test cricket. The sycophantic pandering to it by the British media, particularly a few in the commentary box however has left a little to be desired. Definitely is adds a different and exciting slant to Test Cricket, but the manner in which it was talked up through media channels was ridiculously overstating its impact.

UK View: Stokes an 'untamed rebel who's too stubborn' and Springsteen concert that showed why Pat's the Boss

While the last couple of weeks have been great from a cricket perspective, it has been the first time I have watched the game on free to air for over three years I reckon. It is horrendous. The sooner all televised cricket is behind a paywall the better.

Ad nauseum: Channel Nine's coverage of the Ashes is not up to standard

If the players you mention are relying on some half baked provincial T20 competition in order to garner some widespread credibility, I believe you are somewhat deluded.
I reckon I saw enough of Yadav at international level when India played Australia earlier this year and he managed to accumulate three consecutive golden ducks. I’ll give you the message; he ain’t no hidden gem.

Big change for Big Bash as Cricket Australia bow to broadcasters

Yes, ‘there is no boys club at the AFL’; definitely the funniest thing I have heard in a while.

AFL News: 'Incredibly competitive' search for new CEO defended as Dillon confirmed, Pickett re-signs with Dees

Yeah! IPL keeps providing headline after headline day in day out. Sadly none of them are relevant and none of them stick. Just an hideous competition.

'Bloody hard to win': Marsh superb with bat and ball but ends up an IPL loser

Would have put a line through Warner after England 2019; from a Test perspective. It’s ridiculous the hate directed at Harris. Yeah! Bangers and Renshaw are probably travelling better than Harris. Realistically the three of them are so far ahead of Warner, it’s disturbing Warner is even included in the discussion.

Warner 'at the mercy of selection': Bailey refuses to guarantee veteran's spot as Harris leapfrogs Renshaw

In all honesty, after Cripps picked up a Brownlow on the back of a court case defending the indefensible; I struggle to follow your argument that McAdam is mounting a frivolous challenge.

Audacious Adelaide Crows frivolous appeal speaks volumes on lingering concussion ignorance in the AFL

My God, young Pickett needs to buy a lottery ticket. His actions compared to McAdam’s were murderous.
It’s only a few rounds ago where a bloke took the tribunal to court in order to win a Brownlow.
Look I love AFL, but they need to sort this crap out. There is no consistency across the board. Any given incident on any given week is interpreted in any myriad of ways. This week being a case in point.

AFL News: Crows appeal McAdam verdict

Am a big fan of Carey, his glovework this series has been top notch. But Geez! that shot in the first innings here has raised more than a few questions, just a complete lack of match awareness and responsibility.

Khawaja now world's best batter while Green's ton puts rival nations on notice as Aussies grind India into dust

Best win by the Aussies in quite a while. Fantastic effort.

Hoodoo gurus: Head shines as Aussies hold their nerve to end Indian drought with thumping win

Curse, I reckon. Matthew Sinclair, Laurence Rowe, Bob Massie, Nerendra Hirwani, and Jason Krejza come to mind quickly.

Is a brilliant Test debut a blessing or a curse?

Forgive my ignorance on this subject. Are there stipulations on a like for like replacement. Given that the game had evolved a little, would it be potentially possible to say replace Warner with say Boland or Agar. I am not saying that Australia would necessarily do this, nor want to do it, but is there an existent loophole that perhaps needs looking at.

Head's blitz may mean Warner's Test career over, Aussies fail DRS review, Delhi should lose host rights over smog - Talking Points

Am happier to accept ‘hard-nosed’ than blatantly disingenuous.

Spin bolter a 'live chance' to play, Head set to replace Warner as Cummins defends controversial selections

Aah C’mon, don’t forget about his ‘natural variation’ whatever TF that means.

Spin bolter a 'live chance' to play, Head set to replace Warner as Cummins defends controversial selections

I would argue, the only events (if the last couple of seasons are any indication) the Sheffield Shield overlaps with are our Footy Finals, the Spring Carnival and then the Footy pre season (some three months later), such is the irrelevance of the competition in the eyes of CA.
The fact that those selected for this Indian tour, could only acquire any match practice to speak of was achieved through games in the BBL, only serves to emphasise my contention.
Just as an example, I like many others on here have been extremely concerned about the form of Warner in red ball cricket for the last four years. It is virtual insanity that despite his
ordinary output at Test Level, he has not played a Shield match in two years.
Is the result at Nagpur really that surprising.

'Poor all round', 'There's got to be changes' - Mr 16.95 Warner needs to be put out of misery after Aussies caned: Talking Points

This. Spot on.
