When you say “Finch performed admirably with clever field positioning and good use of his bowlers a highlight of his work as skipper”, I thought he gave up in the last 10 overs in Hobart. That was was most appalling display of bowling I saw from Aussies for some time. It lacked imagination and killer instinct. Here is a proposal: Make Carey the captain. He looks a mature player. Let him anchor the middle order play. I agree we should go back to the winning formula of 2015 where we had good accumulators and then blasters at the end. We have the bowling to defend, but needs a proactive captain.

Hazlewood has not picked up a wicket so far in this game. But quite amazingly, he must have beaten the bat atleast 25 times in the match. A lot more I guess. It’s just unbelievable how lucky SA have been. I’ve never seen luck bestowing a team as much in my 20 years of watching cricket.
