Ex-front rower, albeit if they played where I lived, I'd still be putting my body thru motions it wasn't built for! Qld Country NRC, Qld Reds, and of course the Wallabies are my teams, plus the Cowboys. Prone to meandering and late night rambles, so possibly not made for articles worth reading! Part time publican, full time Racing Chicken trainer, living out in Western QLD trying to bring Rugby to a league heartland.

I don’t what’s worse. State clubs can’t have the power they’ve had previously, as that’s what this has lead to. But the current admin haven’t done much to prove they can lead us out of this. Someone needs to take charge, but in who do we trust.

End game? States plotting to roll RA board after Wallabies flop

I sadly haven’t followed enough, but I am hoping that’s the case!

Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED

Which I don’t want to happen, but he also got them more wins in a row than we can even dream of, so I think most of Australian Rugby fans would welcome it.

Not saying I want it, but I am tempted to take that trade off.

Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED

I sadly don’t keep up with Rugby enough as I work when games are on, and rarely get away with watching a game without spoilers due to working in a pub.

But you have to love Eddie’s ability to create talk (I’ve only read the first sentence about Skelton).

Man I hope he doesn’t hurt rugby, but he’s got us talking at least.

He’s a nut

We can also move Carter Gordon anywhere, so QC can go to fly half

'Butch defence, Larkham glide': What Eddie sees in Test rookie as Wallabies make SEVEN changes

I am happy Carter and Gordon are being given a chance, hi stakes for an introduction to playing together but hopefully Eddie know what he is doing.
I hope we get a chance to see McD with Quade, to see if that loosens him up
Also, so many players coming in underdone, fingers crossed for no injuries

'Butch defence, Larkham glide': What Eddie sees in Test rookie as Wallabies make SEVEN changes

So many mixed emotions. As a reds supporter I love Carter and McD, but putting both on against the AB’s, with so many other players underdone seems tough.

Fingers crossed they rise above, and if there are teething issues they don’t get thrown under bus

Exclusive: Carter's meteoric rise continues with young gun replacing Quade at No.10, Tate set to start

I think Roarers need to chill on player quotes. They have to talk positive, they are on show 24/7. Let’s just have faith

'Cardinal sins' the Wallabies have highlighted they must fix to stand a chance in Bledisloe Cup

I had forgotten about the expansion of the NRLW, that is such good news. The womans game is great to watch, and expansion can only be good. I think its a better spectacle than the mens, as its like watching League in the 80’s/90’s before it became too professional. Can’t stop the game moving forward, but the athleticness of current players in the mens sees the game become a little less enticing, in my opinion. It’s still raw.

NRL week 21 preview talking points: Oh boy, here comes some good stuff

Is there any chance this is a ploy by Eddie to lull other teams into a fall sense of security?

The two-week observation: The Wallabies can play low possession rugby OR find the Australian way – but not both

I understand where Eddie is going with “possession rugby is dead”.

But we have to play field position first.

I don’t have access to the stats, but I reckon that large percentage of tries scored within a couple phases, is earned by teams attempting to exit their danger zone, and kicking poorly.

Then an attack is made in close proximity to your try line.

We have to play field position to the skill of our kickers first

Does Japan have a more centralised structure to regional teams and National teams? It would be great if Eddie can get all the Australian Super Rugby teams aligned to a degree

Wallabies CONFIRMED: 10 changes with McReight in for Hoops, Eddie's bench gamble, Rebel's debut and Suli dropped

I understand some having a crack at editors about the headline, but fair crack, it’s media, and attention for clicks, so I’m 100% ok with anything that helps the Roar make money

I think people attacking Hansen for having a go, he was asked a leading question and I reckon answered respectfully the truth that we’ve all known for some time now.

Rugby News: Hansen's Wallabies taunt - 'easy ride' but can't win RWC - LSL's reason for return, Foley honoured

It’s sucks this happened but love this comment. The specialist positions is why Rugby will always be first for me.

Albeit maybe that’s because I was a tight head haha

Great article. Haven’t watched enough Rugby to have an opinion, but think it’ll be a great conversation to keep an eye on

'Spend them all on locks': Giteau Law bolters Dave Rennie should pick to fix Wallabies' biggest weakness

It got you to comment John, so you fell for the trap that allows this amazing site to continue, clicks and comments.

Woolfie is also a cracker of a bloke, very humble and understated. He was a teacher of mine for only a year, and made an impression on me as a young man. Used to help kids from crappy backgrounds, or ones going down a bad path by taking them under wing and getting them into sport. Saw him 8 years later, and he remembered me, which was nice, as he hadn’t taught me for long, and I wasn’t someone he coached as I played Union not League. Great bloke, and Dolphins will be my second team now with him involved.

'My greatest achievement': Kristian Woolf signs off from St Helens with fourth Super League title - next stop Dolphins

I get everyone hate for Whites actions, but Faf opened himself up to an obvious play, by choreographing what he was going to do. I think White is just as surprised as anyone that he had a crack, missed, and then did it again. It’s terrible play, terrible sportsmanship, but Faf did it twice, and got spanked. Any contact with head is a no go. Don’t have a crack, miss, then have another crack and get upset when it goes pear shaped.
It also really helped the Wallabies, when under the pump.
Cynical play, but tactical genius based on sadly silly unspecific laws.
Well played, by a halfback. Surely we have all learnt we can hate halfbacks with no excuse by now?

WILL GENIA: 'I hate that's the way the game is going' - the 'atrocious and ridiculous' act in Wallabies' win

I think this is an investment pump

With us hosting a World Cup, and struggling currently, we need to get more viewers involved.
One or two NRL stars, if right for the position I’m not unhappy with as an investment, so they can make more money with the World Cups.

It’s where they spend money from World Cup windfall, that MUST be spent on development.

Mainly bring back NRC, or a version of it

'Boring, slow, hard-to-watch game': V'landys' predictable rugby rant as Wallaby backs raid on Suaalii

Whilst it was an embarrassing dive, Faf opened himself up to it. He had one crack first, and had elbow up so obviously was going to do it again.

We’d blow up if it was done against us, but with a man down, Australia under the pump, it was tactical genius from White

I don’t like it from a player point of view. But I’ll back it from a coach/captain/results point of view sadly.

He played the rules and won

Faf could have stopped it by not playing into Whites hands

Thanks Tony, apologies I missed this

Noah frills: Lolesio gets first shot at Boks, told exactly what he must do to nail down No.10 jersey

Still can’t believe any other fly halves have not been brought in (unless I have missed something). Surely having them exposed to the wider squad, and to learn off Foley as well as Lolesio. I am not a massive fan of Foley, but get the thinking behind having an older head around.

Noah frills: Lolesio gets first shot at Boks, told exactly what he must do to nail down No.10 jersey

Must be serious for him to pull out at this time. Regardless of what you think of him, to Australian and provincal rugby he has given all, and never left anything out on park, so best wishes. The scrutiny for him has had to be insurmountable at times for lesser men.

Wallabies blow: Hooper OUT of Argentina series amid 'mindset' battle, Rennie says skipper 'clearly been struggling'

I hope for his sake based on the reasoning behind it there’s not.

That’s what the human in me thinks.

The arsehole businessman in has to wonder, does Rugby in Australia actually have the effect that enough of the media will care?
