It appears a marketing exercise by Platinum Asset Management and Gain Line Analytics. To be fair, I hadn’t heard of them before this. I assume I am not the only one.

The Jets are going to trip-up a lot of teams this year.
Rebuilding active support is the biggest key to the A-League Men's success
Clearly not a goal keeper. There’s nothing quite like a heavy, slick ball skidding towards your upright and feeling the twang of your wrist as the mud-encrusted Mjolnir ploughs unhindered through your outstretched arm, through the back netting and lodge six inches deep in the unfortunate ghost gum behind the goals. Pure joy.

She is correct in that women’s football is at a critical point of change and she is in a prime position to have a material effect.

Are the Bulls better off leaving Campbelltown?
The better question is Muscat’s future given the way Yokohama F Marinos are performing.
Poppa takes just one game to prove he’s still got it
Great to see 17,000 odd in Perth. Finally they get to play at a time that suits them rather than meets the television requirements several time-zones away. Long may it continue.
Bit hard to take much from the game given that Perth have hardly had a pre-season worth mentioning.
I loved the way Kenny Lowe kept describing Perth as “we”; if you’re going to be biased, do it properly. I don’t mind that, he just needs to contribute without being prompted.
In the end there were some problems in regards to the stream and production, however they were easily overcome by my delight that the A-League Men was finally back on.
The A-League Men's teething problems are nothing that can't be fixed
The problem is GA appears a flat-track bully. He does well in environments he’s comfortable with but struggles outside of those confines. His ACL record and his time in Japan stand in stark contrast to his A-League record.
'Sloppy' Roos drop points against China, leaving World Cup bid reeling
There is a significant difference between a club and national coach. Ange is a fantastic club coach where he can build and innovate to suit a style; Celtic are lucky to have him. National coaches must develop a style to suit the players at their disposal. A very different approach.

At least with the seedings they won’t have to play Italy.
Probably the biggest story in qualifications this round is South Africa v Ghana.
The A-League is back, so is this the season it finally lives up to its potential?
The national second division would be best run by the AAFC with perhaps grant aid from the FFA if they are able. Like the A-Leagues, such competitions need to be run by those for whom the competition is the entire focus.
The FFA needs to concentrate on its higher order mandate; the health of the game in Australia.
In that regards quality, reach, ethics and development needs to be coupled with national teams and competitions. We need an FFA who invests time in these aspects, for longer-term strategic thinking and guidance. Time which is not distracted by the hectic day-to-day management of club competitions.
A larger proportion of FA grants should now be directed to NPL and NPLW competitions
Decision making will be interesting going forward as the governance structure has significantly changed. Decision makers have one primary goal; the growth of the professional game. It will be interesting to see how A-Leagues licensing requirements and the national second division evolve, as both were caught in a rut under the previous governance structure.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Where is it being played?
Adelaide's African Nations Cup: A talent scout's dream
Good fun match and decent effort from South Melbourne given their season finished four months ago. Loved the trumpet.
Cracking free kick from Schroen.
City see off South Melbourne in FFA Cup
Neither. We sat inexplicably deep and didn’t press the Saudis when they gain possession in transition. We played like a team that expected to win rather than a team earning the win. This had little to do with the individual quality of players.
MATCH REPORT: Arnie says Saudi 'time wasting' frustrated Socceroos in bad tempered World Cup clash
The Saudis and the much of Asia have always been better technically, even with our ‘Golden Generation’. Tonight we lined up as we should for an away match and garnered an away match result.

We went into the game with a defensive structure and were rewarded accordingly.

If we do win, we need to be ruthless. This is the only chance we have to rattle the Saudis.
Qatar looks a long way off should the Socceroos lose tonight
Indeed. It is a ‘must win’ for us, whereas it isn’t for Saudi; the pressure is on!

You’ll have to wait until Victory start performing again.
Dear AFL and NRL fans: Will we be seeing you at the A-Leagues this season?
Any news regarding Hrustic?
EDIT: I’ve just a quote from GA claiming he’s 100%, however I’m sceptical.

Hard to say re: Rodwell as it depends on how much they are paying for his services. I suspect it isn’t an eye-watering amount.
Wanderers risking it all on two-year Rodwell deal
Ah, Root Canal Treatment.
I checked Dr Google and ‘Root Therapy’ seems to involve hemp oil, ginseng and the like, however that didn’t fit the tone of your comment.
Preferring to watch Home & Away is a bit rough on the code though!

With the APL now in place, are the ‘Nix finally able to move out of the Cake Tin? It’s one of the two missing pieces in the ‘Nix puzzle (the other being a local derby).

I’ve had a soft spot for Parma ever since they had Hidetoshi Nakata in their ranks.
Great club, so hopefully the lad can establish himself there.
