English involvement in the Autumn internationals has concluded and, as follows in sport, now is the time for appraisal and evaluation. So how did…
The New Zealand rout aside, England were worryingly ordinary during the 2012 November internationals. It was a very young and inexperienced side, and the…

But he places too much emphasis on names over actual ability. He could fill his boots with some of these Wallabies! Pardon the sarcasm – I’m no fan of Boudjellal or Toulon.
Kurtley Beale staying positive, says Ashley-Cooper
Incestuous half-wits. Hopefully Boudjellal and Toulon can absorb some of the current Wallaies and everybody can forget this ever happened.

SA have had more ball, so more them.

Skill levels and decision making are utterly abysmal.

What on earth has Pocock ever done against England? Nothing. Rugby is a team game, and the back row is dependent on the tight five. Hooper and Pocock are simply different players, and if Hooper’s game is flawed then Pocock’s game is seriously limited.
Hooper: I love Cape Town crowds
The amount of attention this chap receives verges on the farcical.

SARU opposed the ELVs Regardless, it’s a typically appalling article – and poorly written.

What’s the difference between England in Eden Park and Australia in Eden Park?
Another win but more uncertainty for the Wallabies
Is that grace with a capital G?
Jooookkkkiiingggg! Yellow card was not warranted, but equally Wallabies bombed two tries (with SA) bombing one, so on the balance of things hard to pick a winner. Australia were simply dreadful, but beyond their physicality SA didn’t offer a great deal, and good sides win games like that. You must feel hard done by, buit Meyer isn’t really helping this team win games like that IMO. Not seeing improvement from either side since last season. But the games against NZ will be far more informative.

Who is this Nick Phipps character?

Sums Simmons up…
Also, no way a card for Habana. Disgraceful decision.

Think I’ll add Toomu to that list too.

I’m flabbergasted at how shocking the core skills of the Wallabies are… Kick-offs; re-starts; general kicking; defensive positioning… even Fardy scrummaging low on Kepu. It’s astonishing. I thought England were pretty poor against NZ in the summer, but compared to the stuff we’ve seen from Australia and SA this is another level. After this journeymen like Sam Carter, Fardy, Foley etc. have to go. You can’t keep being loyal to dross indefinitely.

Working well against France means nothing. They’re a poor side. You don’t beat the All Blacks playing the way you do against France.
Big questions continue in the Rugby Championship
I didn’t say the Springbok scrum was terrible, I said it wasn’t good – which it isn’t, and hasn’t been for a long time. Winning your own ball means just that you’re stable on your own ball. FInd some statistics about how many scrums SA won. I don’t know why you keep up with this Beast malarkey? Him and Jannie are a joke. Presenting one statistic and one alone doesn’t exactly paint a broad picture. Anyway, where did you come across this stat? I don’t recall you mentioning it last year.

But their results have been that bad.
Yeah, it is stretching it. Matfield and Alberts will make a big difference iMO.

The Sharks scrummed well at Super level. Then they played the Baa Baas and Wales, got eaten in the scrum there and then went back to scrumming well at Super level again. Super level isn’t really comparable. The Waratahs had a strong scrum with Al Baxter at 3.

I’m not suggesting Australia would have won, but if they score 3 points then and there it’s different game. Anyway, a moot point.
Clear the slate, Ewen, start again
On what level is that selective viewing? Did NZ bomb a try/3 points and Australia respond by running the length of the field to score a 7 pointer?
Also, remarkably little has been said about McCabe’s high tackle, so anyway…
Clear the slate, Ewen, start again
As we saw with England in June a) NZ can be contained (and even shoved around), but b), if you’re off your game they will obliterate you. Worryingly for Australia they didn’t show any of the mental resolve that England did in the summer. One point that seems to have been missed though – if Australia had correctly been given a penalty for Cruden’s high tackle on Folau and taken the 3 it’s potentially a totally different game. Instead NZ went up the other end of the pitch and scored.
I also don’t know why so much has been made of the France series? It’s France, stoopid! They’re rubbish!
Clear the slate, Ewen, start again
But that just illustrates that you didn’t lose on your own put in. It’s a pretty restrictive stat,

I’ve actually said multiple times that Cobus Visage was the last really strong technical scrummager that SA produced. Du Randt was a very good player and a good scrummager, but Jeff Probyn he wasn’t.
Mujati was a joke until he went to play in England. Him going to France is a big mistake.

Australia have some outstanding layers – they’ll be fine. This is a typically nasty little article throwing blame about.
