Certainly some head-scratchers on present and past form. But hey you justified why so pick who you want. Personally, my team would be:
Agarwal
Pujara
Williamson
Kohli
Azam
Stokes
De Kock
Jadeja (Though I would not hesitate to throw in Archer)
Rabada
Wagner
Bumrah

Latham (Back-up Gloves)
Shakib Al Hasan (If banned throw in Joe Root, can come in for Stokes at the SCG)
Archer (Pace, real pace)
Trent Boult/James Anderson (This is a pure horses for courses selection i.e. Adelaide).

A Rest of the World team to tackle Australia

I think it will be a bit like the off-season heading into 2018 where there was a bunch of halfbacks on the market, kick-started when roosters signed Cooper Cronk. It will be interesting to see who jumps ship at the end of this season and if it will be to same magnitude. As for Renouf, he could become a great player indeed, but unlikely the dogs let him walk before the end of his contract

That’s the exact problem, he is way to good to be playing 15-20 min off the bench as a hooker and realisticly probably deserves a crack to start in the NRL as a I don’t see him pairing well with Nikorima who has a longer deal than Green and like I mentioned, has been very good for the Warriors attack. Would love to know you thoughts on how they manage him alongside Green and Nikorima… Nikorima to hooker maybe?

While these would all be great pick-ups for the Bunnies, I don’t know that the clubs would be willing to give up these player, or if South even have the budget. Braidon is doing a terrific job and there is no need to replace him and the Souths have quality second rowers in Burgess, Sutton and Ethan Lowe, so going after Kikau would be a waste I think unless your thoughts would be to move Burgess back in the middle. Papenhuzyen is in interest thought in the fact that he is a fullback. I’m, and I’m guessing you, am not exactly sold on Johnston as a fullback so maybe a fullback could be on the cards.

Thank for the support Paul! I completely agree though, the NRL doesn’t exactly have many quality first grade coaches at the moment. I’m extremely excited to see how Justin Holbrook goes in his first. He is experience but the NRL is a completely different game, it’s got a boom or bust feel to it. The problem is however they havn’t shown a lot of confidence in him handing him a two-year deal. If he succeeds a few clubs may follow suit.

Jennings, had Saab not caught him first, would have been run down by Aitken on the weekend who is not exactly the quickest centre (if you don’t believe me watch the replay). Jennings used to be easily one of the quickest players in the league and is now 31 and naturally has lost speed. I’m suggesting he is slow by any means but he has lost speed.

I did think about that, Bird at 5/8. He played great there for the sharks, it’s just a matter of whether he can stay on the park. I don’t know how long the Broncos are prepared to be patient with him, also how will he come back? ACL are hard, because it’s so different for every player, I look foward to his return that’s for sure.

Your spot on here Joe, about Harry Grant being to good for reserve grade. Cam Smith is very much on the top of his and there is no way he should retire but I can see your point of view. It’s almost like the Kayln Ponga conundrum the cowboys (though they are not the same type of player), in that, do you lose a probable ten year to keep the stars you have for an extra couple of years. Obviously no idea of telling how it would work out for the storm but not the best move from the Cowboys.

Yeh 100% a bit of tongue in cheek mate. Credit where credit is due the roosters have an outstanding roster, probably the most complete in the NRL and Nick Politis is a large part of that. To agree with Bucks, I really don’t know what else the need? I’m guessing you are a roosters fan, would love to know your thoughts.
