Thanks.

Yeah it would be interesting to see how Mitch Marsh gets on. Although, with Henriques having been given another chance, he will definitely be looking to have an impact if he is selected.

Five Australians that will play a key role during the Test tour of Sri Lanka

Thanks a lot Tom. I really appreciate it.

Five candidates to captain Australia against India

Hi guys,
Thanks for your comments. I should point out that this list is in no particular order, but I should be a bit more careful in the future. If it was in order, it would be Smith, Watson, Warner, Bailey and then Finch.

I apologise for the confusion and trust me, Finch would not be my second choice for Test captain.

Thank you for taking the time to read my article.

Hope everyone is well

Kind regards

Five candidates to captain Australia against India

In fact, I even wrote a piece during the India vs England Test series saying that the BCCI should drop Kohli.

India face grim prospects ahead of Australian tour

If the pitch at the Gabba will be extremely quick and offer the pace bowlers a lot of bounce, then India should be worried about a lot more than just psychological scars.

Just look what Johnson has done to Ryan McLaren. He gave him a concussion during the Test series in March and a broken forearm in the recent ODI tri-series. It seems to me that the Indian batsmen are going to need a lot more protection than they normally wear.

I would definitely pick Aaron over Yadav because he bowls a much better line and length and does not leak runs all the time. Yadav has been given numerous opportunities, but all he ends up doing is allowing the batsmen to help themselves to boundaries, which eventually makes them a lot more confident at the crease.

I agree with you Ronan. If he is not showing any interest or respect towards the game, then bring in someone who will. There are plenty of talented batsmen in India who are eager to make their mark at the international level.

The BCCI have to stop being scared and show Kohli that he is not untouchable. They have to send him a message that he can be dropped and will be dropped unless he performs well.

If he only averages 13.40 like he did in England, then India might as well pick Sehwag because I’m quite sure that he will score more runs and end up with a better average at the end of the series, even if he is 36.

The bottom line is that Kohli has to wake up and start showing a lot more passion and interest towards representing his country in the best and toughest format of the game. Otherwise he might as well retire from Test cricket and become a limited overs specialist.

If they select Gambhir, then they are just wasting a spot on their batting line-up. I honestly want to see Sehwag back. If India can give Gambhir another chance, why not Sehwag?

India face grim prospects ahead of Australian tour

Thank you for your kind comments. I think India are going to have to start preparing for their tour of Australia after the CLT20 ends. If they don’t, then I see dark times ahead for them.

I wrote this piece before Watson got injured, but it was only put up today.

Phillip Hughes: The man who just can't catch a break

Hi BHT, thanks for your comment. I am certain that he will nail a spot in the future. But, he is in the best form of his life right now and Australia should not ruin that by letting him sit on the sidelines.

Phillip Hughes: The man who just can't catch a break

Thanks for you kind comments Tom. I was honestly gutted when I read that Lehmann is not guaranteeing Hughes a place in the starting XI after all he has done. How much longer can Australia leave him on the sidelines? If they do for too long, his talent and red-hot form will rot away.
