Was this injury common knowledge? Pre-tour?
Which shoulder by the way?

Australia's number six conundrum continues

Handscomb a professional cricketer didn’t know the rules? I find this surprisingily odd. Lucky he hasn’t a real job where he could ignore rules and electricute himself or something.

This looked like a isolated case to me, but attempted cheating nontheless. Smith was totally rattled at this stage, India had got under his skin, he would have known about the Marsh calamity, his scoring had dried up, the game was on the slippery slide. Then he was then clearly out without a review even needed but was swayed by the dill Handscome to signal to laptop Lehmann. Smith was confused and frustrated, not a good look.

The punishment should be a team warning plus Handcomb to wear a dunce’s hat for a week.

Steve Smith's "brain fade" was cheating that should be punished

Thats also true, maybe if we had a leg slipper at leg slip it wouldnt have been a moment at all.

Umpires were weak. Kholi won that battle as well.

He was rattled, Kholi got him well. Even looked to God in the team box for help.

Kholi is a fool but at least he is in total control of his own team.

Listening to Mark Waughs comments last night you would assume that the team would be unchanged. He has total support for the “extremely unlucky” Marsh.

Not sure why a National selector is also a TV commentator, really dulls the comment and poor old Harris was nothing more than a nodding dog.

I’m not a fan of Kholi’s antics at all but he won the battle of the captains. He unnerved Smith all game and it showed in the end.

It was the defining monment of the second dig. Smith was weak, dilly dallied around, shrugged and gave Marsh nothing. Fair comment.

Have to agree with the Jadega underbowling comment. Not only that, India are a bowler short and Ashwin was a wreck at the end.
If MMarsh had been paying attention to the game and simply blocked that ball rather than try and cross bat flick square he could have enjoyed a good last session. He has no clue at all. Of all his failures that was the best.

Australia's patient batting is sapping India

Suneer, well done all day.

Another poor DRS review. Kholi needs to take more control. Even without the edge it was outside.

More of a battle between bat and pitch.

The crowd now into the game after the wicket.

Reading the blog while cooking an Indian Curry. A Fish Molee I think its called. Hope it turns out as good as the cricket.

Renshaw looks the deal at the top. Handling all conditions thrown at him so far. Could be our jewel in the saddle bag for the next decade.

Lyon dominates to put Australia on top in India

The game was spoilt by the “conditions” yet again, and the continual drone from the commentators about slippery, soapy, sweaty, greasy and the like is doing my head in. Heard it last week, last season, in fact just about every late summer night game in History. It is true however and the game was ordinary accordingly, so either stop playing at night in Summer or ask China to develop a ball that is suitable for these times because it seams beyond the Tech skills of the Western world.
If we still use the waterproofed treated Gilbert ball then it doesnt work.

Well done to the Force from Queensland

Distraction from the real issue….

Well done to the Force from Queensland

His problem in the first dig probably was the new ball, couldn’t get it right. Gave the new ball to lyon in the second.

India go down in a barrage of SOK and awe

I got a wet backside and a head full of frustration getting to this game. Here we go again is all I could think at the end.
And….why is it that when someone plays OK, eg Latu, it is a massive positive. Players are supposed to play well, thats why mugs like me pay cash to watch professionals play this game. The Kiwi sides get it! We accept drivel.
Maybe should stay home and just enjoy Diggers blog.

Waratahs vs Force highlights: Waratahs win by 6

Disappointing conditions OK. Just as disappointing to watch. Tahs should have pounded the Force and apart from Latu the whole bunch were uninteresting. Need a coach with a hefty cattle prod to get this lot going. Cannot see any improvement at all from Tahs, so lets just blame the rain this week.

Highlights: Waratahs shade Force 19-13

Hope the Physio looks after SOKs hamstrings this time.

Maligned O'Keefe embarrasses his critics in India

“Wecome to Thursday night footy” said our TV hosts.
Would have preferred they had said RUGBY. There is a distinction.

Rebels left to sing the Blues after 38-point loss in Super Rugby opener

Wade is only there because he is a chatty man, a bit like Haddin. Supposedly adds the mongrel that is needed to beat the Indians!! Runs and keeping ability sort of count.

Put Marshmallows in the fire, and they wilt

It might be a 250 pitch for the Aussies but its probably a 500 pitch for the Indians. India does not have the failed batting techniques of both Marsh’s, Warner and Hanscomb.
The pitch looked quite easy to play late in the day, so lets see today.

Who the hell is the “tour” selector. No doubt we have one, its part of the structure now. Hope he was watching how M Marsh was exposed again and despatched like a Patsy.
