Met Mrs. Rugby at 11 years old and fell in love immediately. Played through school and university, was a referee for a while then retired to touch football and muay thai.

This has to be April fools + 1 surely???

'It can be something great': Schmidt turns to 'scrum doctor' as next step in Wallabies rebuild

And Australia have won 2 WCs and been to Semis and Quarters – what’s your point?

'Everyone's in the hunt': RA won't rule out stunning Wallabies return after Cheika departs Argentina role

So getting past the pool stages into a semi final (top 4 of the World Cup) by beating Wales in a quarterfinal and losing to the ABs in a semi final is not good enough?

I had high hopes for Eddie, but this really feels like that dirty guest who steps into your house, dumps a massive really smelly one in your toilet, doesn’t flush, puts too much toilet paper into the bowl, and leaves you to deal with the aftermath.

I had high hopes for Eddie’s return – but this just feels like that dirty guest who steps into your house, dumps a massive really smelly shit in your toilet, doesn’t flush, and leaves it to you to deal with it.

I like Harrison but in my opinion he’s just too small for Test Rugby and doesn’t have top end footwork, speed, passing, kicking and vision unlike similar sized players such as Mounga and McKenzie (who use these skills to great effect in the absence of size)

Scott Bowen is potentially a quality 10 but again lacks top end pace and footwork.

My pick for the young generation at the Waratah’s is Teddy Wilson, has a bit of Far Jones about him.

'Not sure what Waratahs didn't see in him': Jones at a loss over Donno as Wallaby says coach's faith 'meant the world'

Still better than any winger the Wallabies have!

WORLD VIEW: All Blacks suffer 'grisly' fate, 'pummelled into submission,' as stunning Boks deliver a 'monstering'

If I recall correctly, Tune went so hard for the try in that 99 WC final that, in the process of scoring the try, he rammed his opposite winger so hard that he broke the French wing’s forearm.

Greatest XV: When Ben Tune, who 'embodied everything Aussies admire in a winger,' delivered a perfect, brutal moment

Prob none, and agree that it’s a bit too much when the partners are get and all expenses trip paid – but the Ladies didn’t just have a shot at the WAGs, they firmly had a shot at the Men’s side as a whole, check the statement “You told us flying anything beyond economy was too costly, then you flew the Wallabies business class on a trip shorter than ours,” the Wallaroos said in the statement”
I hate to say it but to me it feels more like gender comparison rather than a any acknowledgement of business value.

Cattle class-flying Wallaroos blow up at RA's double standards, question big money Suaalii move

Comparison, the mother of all jealousy.
As always, it’s easy to look at someone else’s lot without looking at yours.
Some questions to mull over
1) who is making the money? I haven’t looked at the numbers but my guess is that most of it comes from the men’s game.
2) if they start flying the women’s teams around in biz class, then do the men have a right to complain that they made the money so why do the women get the benefit?
3) has it been considered that the men fly biz class because there’s a number of not normal sized people in the squad? For example, Will Skelton and Taniela (most of the forward pack) are probably not going to fit very well into an economy seat?
4) If there’s a practical reason then sure. Of course if you’re flying the backs then perhaps there’s an argument, but then do you fly the backs in econ and everyone else in biz?
I’m curious how much this complaint is about Woman vs. Men as opposed to business and practicality?
My mother gave me some good advice once, “think before opening your mouth.”

That’s an assumption – if I were to hazard a guess, most journos don’t just tell the truth, they probably add a dash of sensationalism and in many cases twist the truth or take it out of context to convey a a different truth.
They are human, and subject to bias, just like all of us.

Eddie was right about one thing in epic spray - the Wallabies must stop being reactive and accepting of mediocrity

You and the journalists sound like a gossip mag – get over it.
Fact is the journos came at him with an attitude – why is anyone surprised if he gives attitude back? He’s entitled, as much as they are entitled, and as much as you are entitled.
Eddie Jones has always been a fighter, and a fighter he was and is, and that’s also what we want from our Wallabies.
Hopefully, he rubs off on the team and brings back that old Aussie mongrel we used to have and seemingly lost.

'Give yourself upper cuts': Eddie furious at journos after 'worst press conference I've ever had'

If anything I think he is doing a good job of building a ledger of motivation for the team. He now has all the ammunition he needs to fire up the team.

'Give yourself upper cuts': Eddie furious at journos after 'worst press conference I've ever had'

Huge fan of QC but I have to admit, not answering phone calls is just childish and highly unprofessional.

'Give yourself upper cuts': Eddie furious at journos after 'worst press conference I've ever had'

Just watched the press conference on YouTube.

The journalists are a joke – Eddie is right, all the questions are negative.

Not one question was about the young bolters in the squad, his thoughts about positions, if the team was confident, what their approach to training was, what did they get out of their camp up north etc etc

Everything was all about questioning Eddies choices in the squad a week after it was announced. Positive journalism would be nice…

Eddie you got my support and go wallabies!

Do you think it’s perhaps also a symptom of the opposition game play also?

And a comparison of a system where continuity of coaching and playing paradigm is embedded towards an ultimate goal, and the another system where it isn’t.

I think they want him out there being a beast after the starters have softened up the meat first…

Either way – lack of depth at Prop and Centres

Donaldson in as EIGHT uncapped players picked: Co-captains named for Wallabies as Eddie's first squad revealed

JOC is at 12, Hunter 13
But as you have inferred, there is a lack of depth in the centres if we are having to pick JOC (a utility) at 12 and shift Hunter to 13

Second 23 based on the train-on squad – decent team but it highlights a lack of depth in the front row and centres.

Rolando – you do realise Lonergan is known for his kicking?

Noah and O’Connor don’t have long kicking games – both are pop guns – it’s well known.

Wallabies squad confirmed: Eddie Jones shocks with big name omissions from first training camp

And from what I understand (don’t know the exact stats) the teams that kick the most are the top 4 (yes, even tbe ABs!) but it’s all attacking kicking to retain possession.
