Yeah. He had a bit of presence about him today as well I thought. Good to see as he cops a lot of flack.

Reds snap 25-year drought in Christchurch to beat Crusaders as Wilson, Ryan star

Werchon looks to be the real deal. Creighton maybe had his best SR game and certainly will improve. Thomas is thriving with getting more game time. The Reds discipline and effort is a huge difference this year, watching them in defence and how everyone makes the effort is superb. The pack work really hard together. Nonggorr is going to be a long term Wallaby. His scrum and carrying have improved significantly. He got well over the gain line every carry today, that front foot ball is what the reds build their attack off. A lot to like about this team.

Crusaders certainly weren’t poor.

They didn’t win but the Rebels matched them for most of the game. Some costly errors but a decent game.

Blues turn it on late to smash Rebels as gun young lock finally stands

How isn’t he partly responsible?

Tahs hammered by Hurricanes as finals hopes hang by a thread

Who’s the defence coach? All the Canes had to do was run off the shoulder in support and there were gaps everywhere. Just disconnected lazy defence. When things aren’t going your way at least work hard for each other but the Tahs haven’t got any soul or any character.

Joe’s been around the block, he knows how player managers work. Most will stay and players will have to earn selection. Personally hope none of them leave and we can build depth and a strong super rugby comp.

Why Schmidt isn't sweating about Wallabies star's cross-code temptation

I’d sack my management if I was him if they didn’t ask top dollar and at least start high. I don’t begrudge any professional sports person getting well paid, especially rugby players Good luck to the bloke.

Wallabies' young gun mulling NRL switch as Rebels' future continues to cloud picture

We need to keep him. We haven’t developed decent 10s for over a decade and finally have some good young guys coming through. Seriously need Gordon at a decent SR side in Oz.

Wallabies' young gun mulling NRL switch as Rebels' future continues to cloud picture

Seriously hope not. Hope Joe and Les are stroking his ego and RA give him a decent top up offer. We can’t keep loosing talent like his and he’s coming into his prime.

England World Cup-generated revenue of £228.1m, that’s GDP.

Rugby Australia's debts blow out to almost $89 million after draw-down of PEP facility

Hope he stays. We need depth and experience. Young players don’t win tournaments.

Wallabies in danger of losing Hanigan to ambitious French club just as forward enters his prime

Ireland are the kings of this and refs aren’t stopping it. The Super Rugby sides need to learn this as they will be up against it especially playing the NH teams at international level. The Blues have brought the model and teams need to catch up.

Five things: What Beale has over other golden oldies, double pain for Brumbies as Blues expose Australia's biggest weakness

Hunter had a fine game and he needs to show that playmaking side as well his crash and bang side.

The Blues forward pods especially work well together, there’s no one off play, they dominate in two and threes and clear out opposition players really early before they can compete at breakdowns. The ball carrier doesn’t look to go straight to ground in contact, they play as a group and smash through contact and get over the gainline. The Reds forwards need to tackle low, quickly get them to the ground and on the ball directly from behind. When carrying they can’t be one off against the Blues and they’ll need to work harder for that quick ball. It will be a good game of different styles. The Blues play more like an international side than a super rugby side. Schmidt will be watching this game closely as it’s the best indication how players will go at Wallaby level. If the Reds forwards can get the job done this weekend they will certainly put their hands up for higher honours.

Five things: What Beale has over other golden oldies, double pain for Brumbies as Blues expose Australia's biggest weakness

The Brumbies locks were shown up how far off the pace they are on the weekend. In general play they were significantly second best. Really worrying when all four are Wallabies. We need some decent physical, hard working locks who play as a team.
Cale was also shown up that he doesn’t have the defensive game or currently the rugby IQ for higher honours. Great athlete but currently not suited for international rugby and has a way to go.

I disagree that Beale wasn’t influential. I watched him at the back and he didn’t shut up and when he injected himself in attack he made a significant difference. For a guy that’s been out for that long I thought he was on song. Agree Carter as well made a big difference. Two very good buys. Great to see Rodda back and playing well. They need a couple of decent props and they’d be a different beast the Force.

The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'

I noticed Lomani’s action, I did wonder if it was just by chance but if it was intentional then totally agree, he should get the 10 weeks. It would be another low act by him and he’s not remorseful as claimed.

The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'

Good character win by the Reds. To keep the Highlanders off the scoresheet is impressive. Hope Jordy’s injury isn’t too bad.

'Like a Scud missile': World Cup reject leads rout, but Reds suffer fresh blow with Petaia's season in jeopardy

Paisami carried the backline and was first receiver a lot. Thomas was dangerous but a little rusty at times with his passing, good in defence. Lynagh was ok and worked well with Paisami.

'Like a Scud missile': World Cup reject leads rout, but Reds suffer fresh blow with Petaia's season in jeopardy

Paisami was excellent for the Reds. Some very good reads in defence, plenty of great work at first reciver and some excellent kicking. Best game he’s had in a good while and the Reds needed him.

Nasser totally did him over in the scrum. Needs to improve big time in the scrum.

Aussie-born England capped rake Nic Dolly signs with Force ... and he'll soon be eligible for the Wallabies

At least. Crusaders are the easy beats this year. 🙂

The Roar's Super Rugby expert tips and predictions, Round 9: Big test for Les, Blues backed to best Brumbies

Blues at home, that will be a big win for the Brumbies if they pull if off.

'Doesn't count for anything': Bernie gets serious with Brumbies as race for top two finish heats up

I at least hide it by talking to the dog and asking her opinion. It’s like she reads my mind. 🙂

CONFIRMED: Wallabies land final piece of coaching puzzle as ex-Lion signs on ahead of showpiece event

Yeah. If JOC could get his body right and get back some top end speed he still has something to offer. It’s tough when the head says yes but the body says no.
