Beating Shag's All Blacks: How to give yourself the best chance (without bugging)

Yeah good point Jacky, in sports any team can beat any team on their day. wallabies match at Eden park sure to be a cracker !

Gap between All Blacks and world not as big as it seems

Yeah good point!

So when a Wayne Barnes didn’t see the forward pass, it was him just showing he was intimidated? I disagree with your point of view but I know it won’t go far so algood jacky.

Gap between All Blacks and world not as big as it seems

thank you Lindsay! I would love to have been in the coaches box when they decided to take him off, and then watching shag as TJ ripped up lol hahaha that’s hilarious! I say the same to my gf when watching the ABs play but she’s normally asleep… Your blessed your wife replied mate !

Totally agree, when Graham Henry went to help the Pumas in 2012 he made them focus on scoring tries, and look how far they’ve come!

Thanks for the stats Harry! I think ABs are gonna win this weekend, probably by a lot, but as the statistics show, heading towards the RWC the springboks are gonna find a style of play that suits them and how they want to express themselves and the margin will decrease … I think… And hope lol

Thanks for your input bro! I agree, playing the abs is a RWC final in itself

Gap between All Blacks and world not as big as it seems

Thanks for your input Armand, I shall go away and Celebrate cry at how good ABs compared to the rugby world #happykiwi lol nah but I understand your point completely I was just putting the point out there (that I think) teams are at the start of a building process leading up towards the World Cup in 2019, and if you look at that this way, (with support from Harry’s statistics {thanks Harry btw}) the margin of points slims towards the RWC because with new coaches comes new style of play, and adjusting a lot of things behind the scenes etc.

I think NZ will win, probably by a lot, a team like springboks who already have an idea of how they want to play will just get better which we all already know.

P.s. I think I should of clarified this in the article.

Excellent points Riccardo! I share your thoughts exactly! ABs have a superior bench and its strategic employment is something to marvel over because if I was coach I wouldn’t have the guts to take Smith and Coles out early, it also must be great having a team like Wayne Smith, Ian Foster, Grant Fox around you to perhaps keep you accountable and maybe say things shag needs to hear.

I agree Isa was spectacular, he was the better number eight on the night for me, not to discount all the work reado did!

Agreed

Who has been rugby's greatest ever player?

Thanks bro, was gonna say the same thing

Brent Pope: Arnie Savea to replace McCaw

Awesome!

SPIRO: Arise Sir Richie, a great All Black

I would like to have seen Ma’a Nonus try in the RWC final a nomination for try of the year, it was scintillating stuff and very rarely seen in a World Cup final! Ridiculous !

The Big Questions: Rugby World Cup kids edition

And you see why France’s national team isn’t flourishing, because with all here legends coming in there’s hardly space for young French players to grow and play consistently, but on the bright side, young French players who do get to play have the opportunity to play with these legends, who can say in their rugby career that they’ve played with Nonu, Cooper, Vermuelen etc

Quade Cooper set for Toulon debut

Well said, great article

An open letter to Richie McCaw, Dan Carter and the rugby community

It’ll be weird not watching the All Blacks without mccaw or carter, or Nonu and smith and mealamu and woodcock, but I believe this Management team for the ABs are smart enough to have a plan in place, and I think NZs depth is probably the best in the world

The end of an era for the All Blacks

I agree
