I agree with you about the referee. I can deal with a ref taking a harsh line as long as he does it evenly with both teams, which i thought he did admirably well. Whether or not Hooper was going to far in his comments is debatable but I think he would be better served not getting into those conversations in the first place. What if the ref had sent him for 10, it is something he needs to consider.

Michael Hooper needs to show some respect

Traded to whom….between his one dimensional coaching and the pending lawsuit over his behaviour regarding Lumumba, Collingwood would have to pay someone else to hire Buckley.

Collingwood and Treloar - sorry for the three flags you missed Ads but we seem to have overspent

Considering the mess they were in last year i think they have performed well above expectation. I agree with you that they will need to fix their performance in tight games, and also they need to work on their accuracy when pressured, the last few weeks they have been poor in front of goal. All in all though they deserve praise, they have looked competitive in most games this year and that is not something i have seen from the Saints in a long time.

Saints set for finals return

He should have got rid of that hack Rushton after the first Zerafa fight, it makes me ask what sort of contract does he have that he was unable to sever ties with such a pathetic excuse of a human being like Rushton.

The king of Australian boxing is dead. All hail the king

Well said, too often we forget to appreciate how brilliant an individual is at their chosen sport due to the publicity and money they earn. In what I believe has been the game of the world cup so far one of the finest players the game has seen delivered a masterclass. He may well earn millions of dollars and have a lot of nice homes but it does not detract from what he accomplished in that game, players of his calibre in any sport need to be admired and respected for what they do, because too often they are taken for granted until well after their careers are over.

What is a Ronaldo World Cup hat trick really worth?

Fair point. I stand corrected. The EMNB will fall.

Should Buckley have been sacked? Yes, but it should not have been necessary. If a coach is stupid enough to declare before the season that it is the finals or my job (to paraphrase) then failure to make the finals should have resulted in said coach manning up and resigning, we are however talking about a Collingwood person so of course this did not happen. Sadly getting rid of Buckley will not solve their problems, because Eddie, I think I am god, McGuire will still be there, a man who has never played, or coached, a day of professional football in his life but continues to believe that he is the end all and be all when it comes to the sport. Personally, as a Swans fan, I hope they both stay there forever. With the amount of crap that Edwina has thrown at my team, I look forward to watching the Cold Pies fail year after year until their sponsors walk away and they collapse under the weight of Eddie’s enormous ego, and Buckley’s total ineptitude.
