Unbelievable! 4 of the 5 are exactly what I have thinking. I have no doubt that West Coast will be right up there challenging for top spot, probably with Brisbane. I have already backed Fremantle to win the flag but that is a speculative futures bet that I will lay off once their price drops to what I consider is about the best I can get. De Goey is a jet and I expect him to rebound strongly and so is Daniher who is traning the joint down. You don’t buy premierships with older players a s a rule. North Melbourne did it in the mid 70s but the Lions and Power are exceptionally strong this year and the Tigers are still demographically in the window.

They certainly have. A good friend of mine was Ken “Hippo” Sheahan, played centre for Tasmania when they beat the Vics. 1961 I think. We used to work together in the 80s when I ran a pub and he used to run the Sunday session behind closed doors, regulars only, before opening time. He had some great stories and sayings.
