I agree the decision was correct 100%. Only reason it was contentious was because most people were unfamiliar with the rules.
As for Graham, it think it’s a bit far-fetched to think that he purposely attacked Burgess’ head in the GF and Reynolds’ legs on Friday.
Give the Bulldogs a break
If those punishments are actually given in order to create a precedent for the comp, I’ll accept them. But at the moment, it just sounds like unfair punishment.
Give the Bulldogs a break
So for that whole Arizona ordeal that was, in fact, swept under the carpet by Shane Richardson, South Sydney was fined $20k. But for this, you want a $100k fine, and also dock 2 competition points. Thurston constantly swears at referees, particularly in the finals series of previous years, and receives no suspension, but you want to suspend Graham and Klemmer for 4 and 3 weeks respectively?
Seems legit.
Give the Bulldogs a break
What was the punishment for the Arizona ordeal?
Des Hasler is responsible for the Bulldogs' culture
Sure, maybe it isn’t every other club in the comp, but at some point it must have happened to the majority of them. Those links aren’t to every occurrence of bad behaviour. And also, two of the above instances were cases of the assault and all had the potential for serious injury.
I resent your suggestion that Canterbury are the benchmark for bad behaviour. Since Coffs Harbour, when the rape allegations were found to be false mind you, the fan behaviour has been rather good.
Give the Bulldogs a break
When was the last time a club endured this much criticism and hysteria over a similar incident?
PRICHARD: NRL must throw the book at the Bulldogs
I’m sorry, are you insane? 500K fine?
PRICHARD: NRL must throw the book at the Bulldogs
I know it’ll be seen as whinging, but I really do feel as though Canterbury are being treated far more poorly than other clubs.
It’s as if the Bulldogs are the first team to ever swear at a ref and throw bottles.
Give the Bulldogs a break
That’s just untrue I’m afraid. Every other club has had similar, if not worse, issues with their supporters at games. Please take a look at these links.

Also, I remember after last year’s preliminary final, two Penrith supporters assaulted a Bulldogs fan after the game.
Give the Bulldogs a break
Remember when Sam Thaiday pulled a referee’s shirt? Or those times Thurston went off at the refs during the finals last year and the year before? I don’t understand why there wasn’t similar hysteria for those incidents.
James Graham is a poor excuse for a captain
Thanks dude, I think so too. Love the bloke.
James Graham is a poor excuse for a captain
Do you guys reckon the Bulldogs are the first team to treat a ref inappropriately or something?
James Graham is a poor excuse for a captain
Reynolds is not a lock, his defence just isn’t good enough. He’d be a huge liability in the middle of the park.
Should Des choose Moses or Joshua to lead his people?
Where’s the hatred and rivalry in that though?
The best thing about State of Origin is also its biggest weakness

Penrith my tip for the 2015 NRL premiership
I can’t believe Maxwell is going to be picked more for his bowling than batting…
Australia should use Maxwell as sole spinner
Clarke will put himself back at 4, so Smith will be at 5. Everything else is spot on I’d say.
Who gets dropped: Burns, Watson or Marsh?
I’m assuming he means Jason Krejza, but “Zreika” isn’t even close.
Go you good thing! Australia's next Test prodigies
That looks infinitely stronger than what we’ve been using to seeing.
Where will Burns fire, at first drop or in the middle order?
What happened to the “good enough, young enough” edict? You know, the one that everyone supported when Rogers was selected.
Selectors, all we are saying is give youth a chance
If Steve Smith is anything like Clarke, then he’ll thrive on the captaincy and his form will go through the roof. There’s no reason the captaincy has to be a burden.

Why wasn’t Josh Jackson a straight swap for Beau Scott? He’s been on fire this year.
Sheens taking a huge gamble with Papalii at prop
I don’t think Nick is specifically referring to Friday. When people mention Bulldogs supporters, they generally think of a few certain cultures and religions – there isn’t much doubt in that fact.
As for the bottle-throwers, I agree they should be dealt with in an appropriate manner whether that means fines or bans.
