Nice positive article mate – and I hope the Tahs do provide the upset of the season – just not this week against the reds.

Could the Waratahs deliver the upset of the season?

Was out last night so just watching the Waratahs game now. Carlo Tizzano is still the standout tah – but where does he currently stand in the pecking order for 7s? 1. Hooper 2. I’d say Hardwick at the moment. 3 McReight … I’d still invite him to the wallabies training camp next week though.

Winless Waratahs keeping heads high

The NFL has the NFL Pass and that works well. I can understand why they went with Stan here though. With the sponsorship another big step for MLR stability. Any players that will feature 2023 World Cup? Or a little too soon…

How is Major League Rugby shaping up for 2021?

Nice! I downloaded the app also… looking forward to catching a few games. Interesting choice of teams for Billy Meakes .

How Angus Scott-Young is a vital cog keeping the Reds machine winning

Good on the force and hope he plays well.

Reds set to be unimpressed as Force sign Izack Rodda for Super Rugby AU

Ha ha it’s 7s not 5s. Interesting read and thanks but would prefer a team picked.

Imagine if the best rugby sevens teams included top league and union players

After giving it some thought – tend to agree Wax and Rugby. Be ‘nice’ too see a lot of those guys back here, but not so much needed. For example I’m much more interested to see how a guy like Hosea improves and is performing after the trans tasmin comp and then perhaps in gold – than in seeing a ‘Rhodda’ again as we already know what they bring. The guys who think they are good enough will be back for World Cup season – we’ll see them then and compare.

My overseas Wallaby 23

Thanks Brett and really nice to hear positive comments about the ref. It will be interesting to see how that result affects the mindset of both teams going forward.

The contest that set Super Rugby AU on fire in 2021

Yes! I am watching super rugby and I’m loving it!

..and continuing doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is what? I personally appreciate the genuine effort to try and make a change for the better. So far I’m really enjoying the Stan coverage, I’m really liking the new competition structure, I’m liking that the western force is back and I’m really looking forward to the trans-Tasman series as well. The only thing I’m not sure about is the 20 minute Red Cards… Overall a big tick from me.

Awesome -again. Thanks Nicholas!

Coach's Corner Issue 3: Rebels without an attacking cause?

Think I was a little cranky when I wrote that.

Waratahs coaching speculation tells us the NSWRU board is as mad as we feared

Plebs get holidays and can be uncontactable, when you are CEO you just get time away from the office at best. That is why they get the remuneration they do. If you want a 9-5 job then step aside and go get one. If you are uncontactable – then that is unacceptable for the position you hold – and perhaps you should be removed. A pretty good reflection on how much you care about your organisation if you are uncontactable. If you are contactable then who lied? Pretty serious lie. Penny is a coach of the highest quality- so clearly the problem lies elsewhere. Pretty simple.

Stopped being a contest for me when the Rebels tight head was concussed – he was having a massive game. I hope he pulls up ok and is able to rejoin his team mates rather swiftly.

Blowing matches unacceptable – Rebels coach

Any overseas player that wants a crack at the 2023 World Cup will return so I’d expect some significant improvement in that Tahs before 2024. But I get what you mean ….

The Wrap: 153 reasons why Waratahs coach Rob Penney must be left alone

Ha ha yes – and any home game against a kiwi side was like an away match as we were outnumbered about 5-1 in the stands. I did feel sorry for the touchies at times though – with small crowds they got to hear in detail about every poor decision …

The Wrap: 153 reasons why Waratahs coach Rob Penney must be left alone

Great non-lazy article Geoff – very much appreciated! Of the guys back here, Tim Anstee and Tizzano have been the best two finds so far this year. T Hosea is continuing to develop nicely also. Loved the Force coach’s emotion after the game and like you disappointed with the ‘Penny’ bollocks taking the lime light. Another two teams will lose this weekend – and neither of them will be the Tahs.

The Wrap: 153 reasons why Waratahs coach Rob Penney must be left alone

The can be many plus sides to supporting a team that totally sucks. Having been a reds member and supporter through many of their diabolical seasons, I speak from experience. Getting to and from the ground – Lang Park for me – the Mrs could drop me off, pick me up from out front of the ground – no traffic congestion at all. Pick any seat in the ground – change seats at half time – so you are always close to the action in those very one-sided affairs. When your beer runs out – go get another – not as though you need to worry about missing anything good. The best for me though was at half time and being able to walk straight into the bathroom, then grab a round of beers and be back in your seat before the players had finished leaving the field. Make the most of it and enjoy the journey back to the top.

Totally agree – Penny is not the problem. Don’t be lazy media – a great opportunity for some journalism by revealing the real story….

Tahs coach Penney under pressure after Force loss

I like JL, but I did think Jake McIntyre was a step up when he came on in week 1.

Super Rugby AU Round 3 team line-ups: Changes aplenty across the board

I thought Jake McIntyre ran the game really well when he came on week 1. Looking forward to this game – mostly to see how’s the Tahs respond… Just as an aside – I’m liking Stan’s coverage also.

Brumbies lose Slipper to 'friendly fire'

Queenslander! A-hem ..sorry ..knee jerk reaction.

Rob Penney threw down the gauntlet and NSW Rugby are mad if they take it

I saw it I think at the 16 or 17 minute mark against the Reds – a bit of player Argie-bargie, and he just walked back avoiding it. No display of aggression, not a member of the pack. Really surprised me at the time. Less so now the story is developing…
