Love rugby Likely to be objective about Aussie rugby Tend to be wary of AB tactics and agendas Cautious about Springbok chances Do not have enough time to want to know about any other teams

RD, I like your thinking. Agree with all, except Porecki. Now I know I am not alone.

Vision as important as selection after physical and mental battering - and it could mean following France's '19 RWC path

I think Angus meant to say that he was doninateD in the rucks

Let’s hope the Argies are shell shocked after last weekend.

Yes, that will make up for Hodge 😊

Why is Samu playing off the bench anyway?

I trust that he will make the right decisions, more so than his selections in the backline.

Sorry, but I like Gibbon. He scored more fantasy points than any other prop I picked.

OK is an enigma. I thought he was super sympathetic to the Aussie front row. Before that he made sure the Crusaders won another title.

Once a good ref is told how good he is, that’s when you need to start worrying.

No go forward, no Skelton

“For three years Dave Rennie wasted the chance to usher through new ideas and a fresh leadership voice.”
How did new ideas and a fresh leadership voice work out for this first game? A total waste of an opportunity in the first degree to reward deserving players from the main feeding competition that just ended. Imo the results will only get worse before they get better. Pool C of the WC may yet turn out to be another pool of death.
How on earth did the Aussies get within 1 point of the best of France in France in November? Fit players, structure, attitude and passion are four things I saw there. The same as when they came back from behind in the Bledisloe at Marvel, a game they should have won. If I am wrong (very possible) then France cannot be that good either.
I do not personally like Rennie, but he was heaps better than his NZ counterpart considering the limited player resources he had at his disposal and deserves a lot of credit for that!

Well, I guess you have to work with whom you have selected…who else is there?

Playing under panic and for pride in the latter stages of the match. Bound to make mistakes under pressure so I will forgive him.

All Blacks team: Mo'unga to start, young prop in line for debut, Frizell named at No.6 over Ioane

What do you consider a failed slap?
And one-handed intercept? Then BBarrett should have gotten a yellow for the deed he got away with.

The Wrap: Two different ways to skin a cat as Wallabies and Springboks draw first blood

Weather forecast around 25 degrees @ 5pm. No wind, partly cloudy at best. Sunset at 6.32 so not sure if the sinking sun will be important at the toss. Unplanned load shedding could be a concern.
But still, great conditions for kicking, chasing and catching…

All Blacks selection: Are these the 23 players who will save Ian Foster’s bacon?

I wouldn’t. But if it is true, my take is that they probably prefer size over over technical ability while heavily underestimating Arendse. Will be an interesting match-up, but stands a good chance to backfire on NZ. I have no doubt that Reece is the better player and did nothing wrong to get dropped.

Hey Harry
I had to go look it up, but what to you mean by the South Africans being agnostic?

I am not really a fan of upgrading an assistant coach to head coach. Too close to the players on a personal basis. Hard to make hard decisions follow. Latest evidence for me:
RSA, NZ
