Hey on a side note, not doing a post try celebration this month could lead to further health complications and possibly death for Anderson and Stapleton. That’s a lot of pressure to put on the players. Same amount of class you can expect from a gambling company I suppose. If they have that much money to throw around why not just give it to them and not make a game of it.

I’m not traditionally a tut tutter, with offensive behaviour by 20 something men not at all surprising, but he’s a fully grown man who clearly doesn’t care about his players just results. Compare that to Wayne Bennett. Break that contract Ben, you’ve got 2 years left, maybe 3, don’t play for a creep like Flanno. If he didn’t work for Fox that would be the headline.

That first 50minutes was hard to watch, by then I was bitter at rugby league in general. And so it goes the roller coaster. I don’t think Hiku should see out the year in first grade, and tbh Townsend’s looking a little flimsy. Strange to think we had the QLD centre sitting on the bench last year and couldn’t think of a way to use him. I like Todd Payton, but in my eyes his reign will be forever tarnished for letting a local superstar go in favour of an old run down mercenary. I hope they’re keeping Townsend to mentor that young half-back who’s meant to be the next big thing. And seriously, dropping Feldt must have been a gee up.

You cockroaches should just pick half the team from fullbacks and the other half from locks. Wait… once again you will drown in your talent pool. On the flip side, the only player for QLD that will play an alternate position to club is our fullback. I reckon blues will pick Luai, have Hynes on the bench, then bring him on when the game is lost hoping h3 will pull some magic out of his butt. By that stage QLD’s forward pack will have shredded their counterparts. Not one NSW forward to chose from isn’t a cat, save Haas, and Murray but he’ll be playing out of position. I like the author’s idea of Nat Butcher, but they probably won’t chose him as they’re still looking for the next Steve Menzies. QLD could select their forward pack spinning a wheel and not lose anything, not so for the blues this time. That’s what I reckon.

Qld’s forward pack is going to be formidable. With Tino, Welch, Flegler, Cotter, Carrigan, Gilbert, Papa, Horsburgh, Collins, Arrow & Mofo to fit into the middle, and Capewell, Kaufusi, Fafita and even Luki for the edges. I can’t remember a stronger group of forwards available for selection. Kaufusi has, repeat has to be there. Whoever misses out will be unlucky, but it is 3 games and with this depth our forwards will go in like kamikaze fireball bezerkers!

I’ve never seen a player that copped punishment like JT did every week. Every team’s game plan was to smash him, and that was in a time where the kicker wasn’t protected like now, nor dropping the shoulder on the half playing at the line after passing. He just kept picking himself up game after game. For that alone I rate him the GOAT.

Parramatta seem to get a tremendous roll on up the middle, especially with their offloads. It all starts with Mahoney playing very fast and flat. He’s very good at it but how many forward passes does he get away with? I count at least 3 a game.
