www.footyjumpers.com is a great resource when it comes to this. I would even suggest that the Port clash guernsey could be the majority white prison bars. Mixing the past and the present
Port in prison bars: Looking back to go forward
I’m not suggesting for one second that Collingwood change their colours. However for the sake of one or two games where they wear a clash jumper then what’s the issue? A clubs home colours will always remain. Liverpool are unlikely to ever change from wearing all red, but I’m not going to stamp my feet and say that Manchester United have to change their colours. AFL is the only sport that has this bizarre set up.
Port in prison bars: Looking back to go forward
I don’t disagree with the fact that that Port’s current jumper is a good one. As I said the idea that there are two teams in a league with the same colours is not a problem. Every other sport has it. My point is that Collingwood have missed a marketing trick. They could have two or even three distinct jumpers that fans would buy.
I agree also that it is unlikely to change but the question is why did it have to?
My last article wasn’t about the jumpers but it was raised as a subject in the comments so I wrote about it. You said yourself that it’s unfair so why do you expect port fans to let it rest? North Melbourne fans should also push as the debacle over their home games against Collingwood has also been embarrassing.

After a brief search, I have no clue. Will get onto it for you
New-look Port Adelaide ready for rising Suns
I’ve written about this today. Will hopefully be posted today or tomorrow.
New-look Port Adelaide ready for rising Suns
I reckon it’s more damaging to Collingwood. I will write about it soon.
New-look Port Adelaide ready for rising Suns
That is not going to happen, I have an opinion on that which I will write about in the future.
New-look Port Adelaide ready for rising Suns
I’m not disagreeing with you, I’m simply pointing out that last year we struggled against those teams because we were poop. Myself and I imagine other Port fans are happy we are beating them.

I’m happy with the guernsey at the moment but would love to see the prison bars back. As far as the logo goes I think it could be updated to give a feel of the magpies logo while retaining the fist and lightning. I can’t see to post images here.

Not completely sure but 90% confident that’s the case.

And all three of those teams challenged us last year. It wasn’t ‘easy’ last year. Ask St Kilda fans how easy the trip to metricon was.

As far as I’m aware when you buy an AAMI stadium membership it gives you entrance to all home games, port and crows. You don’t nominate and you count towards the membership tally of both teams.

Unfortunately no. Kochie said that there are some important heritage games coming up and when pressed said that he could neither confirm or deny that Port would wear the prison bars. Which is as good as a yes 😉
New-look Port Adelaide ready for rising Suns
As I’ve mentioned before AAMI members count towards membership numbers. Also there is a number of canine members. I’ve been in Australia almost 6 years. I love sport and I’ve done a lot of reading on Port Adelaide. I respect and admire their history and their story.

As a Pom living in Adelaide I disagree. I went to the test in Melbourne and sat with/near The Barmy Army. There is every opportunity to come over without tickets, buy them and get with there [sic] mates.
Cricket Australia's ticketing makes Army less Barmy
I see your point, but disagree. The popularity of the SOO is without rival, both in Australia and Internationally. It would be ill-advised to mess with that formula. Also an Australia vs. New Zealand test on ANZAC day is fitting. In the modern professional era I don’t think it is necessary to have a selection competition. Add the four nations and a world cup and there is plenty of rugby league. You are trying to fix a problem that doesn’t exist.
State of Origin must make way for mid-year Tests
Listening to Kochie at the weekend he dropped a fairly big hint that we will see the prison bars at some point this year.

An apology: I have messed up on two important parts of this article. Firstly and the easiest to deal with is I mis-named Kane Cornes, calling him Chad, I’m sure I’m not the first to do it and I imagine that even their mum does it from time to time.
Secondly, I suggested that 13 goals were kicked in the third quarter, and that Port kicked 11 of them. That is clearly incorrect as they only scored 17 in the entire game. I thought I heard that stat and obviously didn’t check it.
I’m really sorry about those mistakes and hope that it doesn’t detract too much from the overall feel of the article. Thanks to everyone for the feedback.

Adelaide derby: nobody left at three quarter time
Another mark of the year contender too in Matthew Broadbent and probably one of the goals of the season by Chad Wingard
You can enjoy The Hoff hassling Rodney as many times as you like.

I’ve heard Lewis Hamilton have a pop at the tyres (pun intended). The big disappointment with the team orders is exactly that. Webber must have turned his engine up and then couldn’t keep Vettel behind him.
F1 China 2013: For the team or individual?
So Webber wasn’t defending? I think most F1 overtakes are gutsy. I guess I’m just easily pleased 🙂
F1 China 2013: For the team or individual?
Ok, so you don’t like the idea of clubs losing their traditional identity, however you’re happy for PAFC to do exactly that. Two questions
1) What impact would it have on Collingwood FC if Port wore the prison bars when playing any other club in the competition?
2) What impact would it have on Collingwood FC to have to wear a predominately white jumper when playing in SA against Port?
