In some ways the Indians are showing us how cricket was before DRS. This series it is back on the umpires to back their judgement more.

Controversy on day one in Hyderabad

You have to remember there’s already quite a few midweek ODD games during the regular season as well.

Not sure what CA are thinking there re the final. Having it on a Sunday would make more sense.

It’s awful to see just how much power the BCCI ‘likes’ to use. It’s killing cricket not just over there but worldwide. Unfortunately, its pockets are so deeply lined those at the top can’t see past the dough.

Radio magic gone, as India's bullies shut down Jim Maxwell

Luke, I definitely agree, but I don’t see how, for starters, you can get rid of the “grey” area in sport. Even if the ACC, ASADA or whoever eventually find conclusive evidence and lay charges, there’s still going to be a public outcry over this area.

So many players and athletes will still be able to find loopholes.

I’m all for having Lyon in the squad. He can bowl well but he doesn’t rip the ball. Not everyone does. His main aim is to bowl a tight line and length while controlling the flight. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets to 250 test wickets

Australia's sticky spin situation

I’d just like to point out that I am a massive BBL fan and the way it has been run is fantastic, possibly even better than state v state. I am saying that I’d love to see that back, but city v city is starting to take hold. I’m not trying to advocate that state v state come back; I’m just saying that on the overall the state competition is a better indication of who we might see next.

Firstly you have to note just how good Sri Lanka was at the Gabba with using the ball and swinging it a mile. That undid us big time.

However, I am not a fan of blooding so many players every single game. Consistency is the key as we all say. The rest needs to be beneficial for the players, not knocking them off their game.

Clarke defends rotation after horror day

I’m not suggesting that we say every time ‘here, I’ve got a baggy green or one day cap for you.’ What I’d really like to see is the state v state type of comp built on,

That being said, I’m a big BBL fan, and have enjoyed it this season, even though there have been a few controversies.
