How does the opposition not realise the game has started? There is a loud horn, the ref blows the whistle and a ball is kicked in their direction. If they can’t figure out the game has started after that, maybe rugby is not the game for them.

Beale in cotton wool for Waratahs

The Graham you are referring to is contracted to the Blues as an assistant coach. You wouldn’t pick it from the Blue performance but they actually have a very good coaching team.

Super Rugby hot seat

Ten want it, I doubt they have the cash to pay for it. Would be great, but is extremely unlikely to happen.

Network Ten wants Super Rugby

Both the Highlanders and the Hurricanes and middle of the table at best. Playing the Sharks (favourites by bookies to be in the top 2) in South Africa is a completely different ball game.

Michael Cheika has mounting Waratah problems

Seeing as this happened in Feb, is there any chance of Pocock going on the end of season tour in November?

Massive Brumbies blow: Pocock’s season is done

That is awful news for Pocock and the Brumbies, I wish him a speedy recovery and all the best with his rehabilitation.

It sounds like the driving motivation is to challenge himself. I think that is brilliant, he will only get a few short years in life to see if he can switch codes successfully. All power to him.

Sam Burgess took a pay cut to join rugby

It is amazing how well Anscombe did at the chiefs compared to his one season at the Blues. He will be a very good player over the next few years.

Chiefs don't expect miracles from Muliaina

This could be interesting, Mils will struggle with the pace of the game after so many seasons away.

Chiefs don't expect miracles from Muliaina

Great article guys, loved it.
The echo was a little frustrating but worth putting up with it.
I would love it if you could include a player/s of the round and ones to watch out for.
Looking forward to the next one.

The Roar Rugby Show - Episode 1

Great news for Kenya, it will be very interesting to see how they progress and if they translates into growth of the game in Kenya.

On a different note, why did the Argentinians leave the comp? What will they be doing instead?

Gill best 'on-ball openside' in Australia

I love a factual argument rebuffed with hearsay.

Gill best 'on-ball openside' in Australia

Love the article, a really enjoyable read.
Great work guys!

Biltongbek and Harry Provide talk South Africa's Super Rugby tribes

I am very excited. I expect England will reassess their tactics and try to be more aggressive. At this point they have nothing to lose and need to start testing the Aussies.
This will be brilliant.

Ashes Preview: If England can fight back, it'll be a triumph for the ages

I love the concept. It will be brilliant to be seeing more good quality rugby at local venues.

ARU proposes a new National Rugby Championship

This is a truly terrible idea but the ARU need the money.

Wallabies vs Scotland: Analysis of their performances

Why do we have 3 halfbacks in the squad?
Why no Betham?

Wallabies side to face Scotland announced - four changes to the XV

Rhino,
I agree with your stance Australia should have a domestic comp.
But isn’t it just as unreasonable for the South Africa to expect to have 6 teams in the comp? Neither the Lions nor the Kings will offer any real competition to anyone except each other. Each country has 5 teams and this makes the whole competition easier to manage with less travel, it provides the tournament with balance. Adding 1 new team to only one conference creates too many problems.
The Force are Australia’s problem team. The Rebels are improving and I would argue with one less win than the Hurricanes and the Blues they are a middle of the pack team, not a cellar dweller (just). We all know that having both the Lions and the Kings will mean South African will have two permanent cellar dwellers. I would like to see an argument on how is this acceptable?

How I would fix Super Rugby

I am also pretty sure control is not a prerequisite for a try. All that is required is downward pressure and their to be no knock on.

SPIRO: When Aussie rugby eyes are smiling

The 3rd choice loosehead from a team combined of the best players from 4 countries.

SPIRO: When Aussie rugby eyes are smiling

I was wondering why Kearney was being vilified. His quote complimenting the Wallabies summed up the situation perfectly, they were clueless under Deans. Averaging only a bit above a try a game is clueless.

SPIRO: When Aussie rugby eyes are smiling

My 2 cents, after a few replays I though Cummins scored the try.

SPIRO: When Aussie rugby eyes are smiling

Great article. I am looking forward to the Wallabies game for the first time in a long while. The Irish look to be in form and the Wallabies are showing some improvement in attack. This should be a tight battle.

Would an Ireland win really be an upset?
