No need to get snippy, Tones.
Edmed was the player in possession of the ball and Finau was entitled to tackle him. Getting rid of the ball a split second before you’re tackled has always been ruled the same way- play on.

'Purely coincidental': Chiefs coach defends bruiser after ANOTHER late shot leaves Tah flattened - but was it legal?

Rapid fire cleanout vs targeted headhunting?
Don’t bore me with false equivalences, Woz.

'Purely coincidental': Chiefs coach defends bruiser after ANOTHER late shot leaves Tah flattened - but was it legal?

And Edmed wasn’t tackled early, late or dangerously. And he is the player in possession of the ball.
You seem to have disproved your own post.

This is the News Limited disease manifesting itself.

Why does the number on the players back matter?

A tactic?
Loose forward runs towards inside back in possession of the ball with the intention of tackling him.
More of a requirement than a tactic.

Was he even penalised?

Evidence please.

According to the author, 24 seconds to recover, Cam. 24sec!!!! Ohhhh, the humanity.
The little bugger got up and played on well into the second half though.

Well then, that’s rugby union over and done for you with if that’s your problem.

And do you want last nights ref to repeat that mistake?

Edmed wasn’t taken out of the game. He got back up and played on.
You’re simultaneously wetting yourself all over this thread about a legal tackle on a smaller player while demanding another smaller player actually be “taken out of the game” in some kind of revenge fantasy.
Did you not see the Waratah players chatting with Finau after the match? Didn’t look they were whining about his rather excellent tackle.

Did you watch the game, Cec?
Finau copped plenty and gave plenty. No old man, old school revenge fantasies required.

'Purely coincidental': Chiefs coach defends bruiser after ANOTHER late shot leaves Tah flattened - but was it legal?

Great tackle!
And I’m sure Edmed’s old man would’ve been proud of the way his boy recovered and got straight back into the game. It certainly impressed me.

Why?

Is that you, Phil Kearns?

The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'

Champ! Everyone drink! 😛

Didn’t watch it live but for the first time ever I couldn’t see out a Crusaders match, Decoy. So many errors and so out of sync. Ditto the Highlanders.
The score was close when I shut ‘er down but wasn’t surprised to see that final margin. The Force aren’t quite a bogey team for the Crusaders but no matter what their previous form has been, they usually lift their intensity for these clashes.
Well done, Western Force. That level of physical intensity reminded me of the Wessels and Hodgson era when you guys were regularly rolling the Reds and Tahs.

Cruel twist.

👍????

All Blacks star signs surprise short-term deal with Irish heavyweights

Pretty grim round for Mainlanders, O-Man.
Some good tries scored but both sides lacking solid defensive structures and experienced game management.
The Highlanders have won on their last two visits to Suncorp but I won’t risk any money on them going three in row.
And the Force always lift for a Crusaders visit so there’ll be no respite for them either.

The Wrap: Crusaders' shot clock fiasco and shhh, don’t put the moz on Darby

In a court of law a defendant’s crimes aren’t weighed up against similar crimes committed by others. You’re tried as an individual.
Given that these rugby judiciary procedures are basically run by the legal fraternity, are they simply following that same protocol?

Lomani gets huge discount on ban for shocking elbow after guilty plea, teammate has penalty halved

The TMO and the citing commissioner run the ruler over these things as well, Woz.
Team officials can also request a review by the citing commissioner of foul play incidents within four hours of the match ending.

It was definitely late and penalised.
The size of the player isn’t relevant.

Never had the good fortune to see them live. Flatted with a Cramps fan when I was in my early 20’s, still influencing the direction of my music collection to this day.
