I’m sure Ricky will be reminding them that Robinson thinks they’re ‘predictable.’ Well it has now got them further than their entertaining ‘unpredictable’ style of years gone by.
I reckon it’s actually an underhanded acknowledgement that he’s threatened by them because Robinson knows the only teams left this time of year are all about that nausea enducing word, ‘structures.’

Roosters into 2019 NRL grand final after stopping Storm

You must take into account third party agreements if you want get a broader picture of how the salary cap doesn’t work as intended.

Roosters into 2019 NRL grand final after stopping Storm

Just on that try he set up- did you notice the dexterity he had to reel in the poor pass from dummy half before seamlessly transitioning to put the kick through. That was poetry in motion.

Six talking points from Canberra Raiders vs South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL preliminary final

You’re heart’s always in your when BJ gets in the action.

Looked like a bad enough injury to keep him out of next week I think. Can’t risk a passenger on GF day. Nowhere to hide.

Wonder how Billy would fare on such a charge going into a GF and all?

Could this incident see Josh Papalii miss the Grand Final?

Unfortunately Papali doesn’t rhyme with Slater.

Spruce.
Please show me the evidence of someone waking up with leprosy from hurt feels.

No Israel, rugby league? You've dodged a bullet

A business would lose less face if it plainly stated that, “Player ‘X’ has broken no laws and is entitled to his opinions and beliefs but those in no way reflect on what -insert said business here- believes.”

So you are implying it shall only be ‘minorities’ who may have recourse against a perceived sleight? If tomorrow I identify as a rainbow coloured unicorn I’m almost certain I’d be a minority. What is less certain is that any barb would make me unable to cope because of my identity. Personally I find that mentality is far more demeaning than any other abuse that could be directed towards me.

Any opinion is subjective and I am defending everyone’s right, without fear of punitive actions, to express them freely. I thought the last statement was an obvious reflection of the ludicrous calls for sacking someone for daring to think differently to those who would label themselves as the ‘accepted norm.’ The ability to raise in excess of $2 million in 4 days suggests otherwise.

Remember, Galileo was ridiculed for suggesting the earth was spherical.

On Burgess and Folau

The corporate brown shirts have got their stomping boots on today- Mao and Stalin would be proud. Maybe Folau should’ve driven drunk or snorted some lines of coke, you know things that are actually against the law, and all would be sweet after a quick public sob.

These holier than thou types who wish to offend ‘troglodytes’ by comparing them to me are short of a mirror. No one is given any assurance to go through life without someone having an opinion or belief that may offend their sensibilities- in fact it’s a given and that is what you call diversity. Business has no business to decide the bounds of acceptable public discourse outside of work. We have elected government who have passed laws for that- you know, like incite violence.

Why expect anything more from a footballer than to play football. What’s lazy is holding them up to standards above what you would hold yourself to. You want role models- be one yourself.

That’s a nice opinion you all have there, hate to see you have to lose your jobs over it.

On Burgess and Folau

A public servant that shares their political opinion on social media that is critical of their employer in no way relates to Folau’s criticism of, what his religious teachings deem to be, sinners.
If you read the law as it’s written, it’s quite simple.

On Burgess and Folau

Yeah but shrieking do gooders have a memory that would make goldfish blush.

Sorry if reading that strained you.

On Burgess and Folau

On Falou. Under the federal Fair Work Act 2009, ‘it is unlawful to discriminate against a prospective employee on the basis of race, colour, sex, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental disability, marital, family or carer responsibilities, pregnancies, religion, political opinion, national extraction or social origin.’
For those that retort, ‘but his contract stipulated…’ well that contract cannot suplant Common Law.
While I will add the Fair Work Act is not applied accordingly when on any day of the week I can peruse the employment pages and find job positions available only to persons based solely on their race. Go figure.

On Burgess and Folau

The right shoulder to the sternum is the initial point of contact (note the right arm is down, tucked even, not wrapping at all). The left hand only touches the back of the lower leg as his legs start moving upwards and forwards as his upper body is being driven backwards.
A shoulder charge is illegal irrespective of contact to the head.

Reece Hodge cited for high tackle

His arms are down. His shoulder connects the sternum. What has contact with the head got to do with it? If the English forward’s chin contacts the Tongan tackler’s back would you then contend it’s high??

Not sure I (who is this ‘we’ you speak of anyways?) really need to explain what a shoulder charge is.

Reece Hodge cited for high tackle

While in the Roar videos the Tongan number 7 blatant shoulder charge on the England forward is merely a question of, ‘Is this the hit of the WC?’

Who owns the Melbourne Storm? If it were, let’s say, a media organisation, it would be in their interest to whip up a frenzy to shift some stock and get some clicks.

Touch judge's controversial call denies Storm of a late fightback

And JAC holds the ball and takes the tackle 10 metres out from his line.

That the Storm score 1 try in the preceding 79 minutes is no guarantee of one coming in the last minute from 40 metres out.

Yes we Canberra! Raiders shock Storm in qualifying final

This is not the place I come to for the trivialities of english grammar. I’ll stick to lecturing my 5 year old.

Most of the time I get what OP is getting at and move on. In this instance, just quietly, I reckon ‘writ’ is spot on in the context it is used.

Waerea-Hargraves to miss Roosters' prelim for trip

‘…which also would have only attracted a fine if not for his previous convictions.’

This is where the standard of discipline has slowly eroded to. All the hoo-har about eye gouging in the past 3 months is a result of the judiciary becoming soft on these acts over an extended period of time. Now a trip is, out of hand, waved away as simply a fine barring a previous bad record. My memory is good but it seems that not that long ago a trip was sacrilege and you’re automatically sat down for a minimum of 3 weeks.

Please feel free to refresh me if I’m wrong.

Waerea-Hargraves to miss Roosters' prelim for trip

Leilua the liability. His boundless game breaking talent is always on the cusp of being overshadowed by his unbelievable stupidity. Go the Raiders!

I fear there now will be scurrilous accusations bandied about and under the table payments making accusations by accusers go away regardless of any truth in them.
