From my recollection that was the second or third incident where a tatty looking ball was replaced for a newer, shinier one, and it definitely needs to be investigated. Three of our blokes had their careers severely impacted over a 10c sized piece of abrasive paper, while the England team has often engaged in illegal ball tampering with few consequences.
