The stuff that bothers with is I think it should only be the captain do those ref interactions.

NRL Power Rankings: Round 4 - Tigers in finals mix? Panthers’ challengers falling by the wayside, Roosters lay an egg

Yeah, putting it to the date/test not the usual, but it sort of a modern TikTok media profile age. But I’m sure others have said things like ‘this is my last ashes’, it sort of the same. Greg C picking the tests he play and not wasn’t the best. I don’t really have a problem with any of it. I felt at the time I wanted Greg C to be more committed to the team (stupid thinking about it now), I didn’t know his life, troubles, stresses. It’s up to the selectors to go ‘hey we won’t pick him because we don’t think his dedicated enough’. I feel the same with Warner, it was the selectors who kept picking him. I’d have more thoughts of it not being right if he did the John Farnham retirement announcement. Concert announcement. Retirement concert announcement. Retirement. Retirement concert announcement. Lol

Forgotten opener, WA veterans snubbed in central contract shake-up as CA name 23-player list

This events still hurts me. I don’t have facts, I’m only go on my feeling that it don’t sit right. No evidence, but I will always feel suss and it’s tainted my opinion of them. To me it’s all wording and the specifics of, it helps your mindset. ‘I did not have se…al relations with that woman (I don’t count a bj or ‘Lucy’ se…al relations so I ain’t lying. I’m covered). The question being worded ‘were you aware player ‘x’ was…?’ I can go with ‘no I didn’t know ‘he’ was doing it ‘right then’’. But that’s different to ‘did you ‘ever’ notice any changes to the ball?’ But that could be covered ‘not any difference to how the ball is usually’ because if the ball regularly tampered with, its condition would be common. Or a little more specific ‘was the ball condition different when playing with this group to others you have played with?’ Stuff just don’t add up for me. Bowlers ‘know’ their ball. Swing doesn’t seem to happen as much.

Yeah, not much but I think because you see them on the field so much that clubs do believe they assist their team. Having the clubs training being replaced by one the players don’t know as well might have a team miss that 1%. Better yet I wouldn’t suspend the trainer, I’d suspend having any trainer, or have me of those coach soccer squares on side of field.

NRL News: Annesley denies obstruction rule is broken, Burgess delivers Souths sermon, Sharks face fine over trainer

Hi Gamechanger. I think a few players in the past before Warners time had a bit of a say, not sure he set that precedent.

I’m not sure who’d be leading it and it is all just feeling, but first, to me – the bowlers would know. Second – a squad that has enough ‘oomph’ to have a enough input in the Langer thing, sure they’d press ‘Bancroft may destabilise the team’

Forgotten opener, WA veterans snubbed in central contract shake-up as CA name 23-player list

Yeah, that is my thoughts. The door is not technically not ‘shut’, but the feeling I get with the way the selectors do things, is that it is done. Maybe a ‘WSC-Rebel tour’ size drought they’d be in the panicked mix, but I still don’t think they’d be ‘next can off the rank’

I’d rather a suspension than a fine. Parties either know what there are doing or not considering enough of actions. I think suspension has more effect on the club then fine

NRL News: Annesley denies obstruction rule is broken, Burgess delivers Souths sermon, Sharks face fine over trainer

Yeah, I like that breakdown, tackling is attempting to dominate and it goes further like you said ‘tackle = stop’. Modern football want to do more then this, wrap -stop a pass or wrestle – slow the play. To me it def is a wrestle style.

I think tigers deserved to win.

Fair comment not coming from unfair commentators whining about rules they should know off by heart

Hi Geoff. I often wonder about this stuff, because I’ve got no clue, a few of you guys on here are understanding and reading footy way, way better. Ivan’s record at other clubs wasn’t on par with his current stint. He was recognised as a good footy mind, but didn’t get that results he does now, maybe his record was even average. Not sure what his win/loses are at each club. But right now he has great cattle. He didn’t have rep, great cattle at the other clubs. To me it has me wonder about east’s couch also. He was a mastermind a few years ago, was it the talent he had and a few better then good (Cronk etc) that was really getting the results? At the moment he has the full back, but the other spine players aren’t Cronk or teddy’s level to me. Ivan at the other clubs didn’t have that spin talent and the overall ‘good’ players. I think a teams worst player is a tell, having a lot of ordinary players is huge, panthers don’t have too many ordinary, they are backing up really good one’s.

Annesley admits Roosters were robbed as obstruction rules come under blowtorch despite Panthers' statement win

Got mine. It’s big. lol. Yeehaw

That is sort of ‘bazball’ also (no offence), ‘one trick’

I loved that ‘No regrets’. Cracking, underrated lead guitar

Why desperate Rabbitohs need to adopt NRL's version of Bazball - it's a guaranteed win-win situation

Yep. It’s ’make Use of the talent you have’. England did ok a boundary hitting, high run rate. A reason they did ok in odi’s. Baz attempts that in tests. For South’s I guess their strength is attack, so go all out nutty, go wild attack. They score 24 on you, so what, you attack style hit you 36 points

Haha. Yeah it pretty fancy. I wanted to watch the test in Hobart, read about the casino, first in aust, saved up all year. I should have organised a limo to the ground. Or a horse and carriage

I stayed at that casino a few years back when the Windies toured there. Six nights. Was tops, they treated me awesome. Loved it. Lol

Yeah increasing team number puts it at cost and some clubs struggle with that already. Would it also be thinning the talent spread? some believe this, others do not, that also comes up with increasing numbers of teams, franchise. In the end it’s got to come down to helping player safety

NRL can reduce concussion headache by expanding the number of interchange players - with a retro twist

Are you including brigade ‘softies’ like Steve Mortimer? I am unsure if he still watches the game.

Yep, poor technique and form with tackle.
